ミツク触媒担体を配置し、これ等の半割部材の両
側に形成されたフランジ部の合わせ面同士を突き
合わせて前記半割部材を相互に固着すると共に、
前記セラミツク触媒担体の外周に外周緩衝部材を
被嵌してなる触媒コンバータにおいて、前記半割
部材に形成されるフランジ部の合わせ両側に凹部
を形成することにより、前記フランジ部同士の合
わせ面に取付孔を形成し、この取付孔に先端が前
記外周緩衝部材に係止される固定ピンを挿入固定
