In particular, polyphenylene sulfide is suitable for use in fibrous reinforcement materials such as glass fiber and carbon fiber, and inorganic materials such as talc, clay, and silica.
The above-mentioned performance can be improved by combining it with a quality filler, and it is used in electrical, electronic parts, and mechanical groove making parts. However, polyphenylene sulfide has a low degree of polymerization, is difficult to mold, has no toughness and is brittle, and glass P
Polyphenylene sulfide reinforced with 'li male has drawbacks such as the tendency to cause sorica in molded products.

Bo! Blending J phenylene sulfide is disclosed. However, although the effect of improving molding processability was observed, due to poor compatibility between polyphenylene ether and polyphenylene sulfide, there were disadvantages such as poor appearance and deterioration of mechanical properties. This blend is completely separated into both polyphenylene ether and polyphenylene sulfide components when brought into contact with a solvent, and has essentially no solvent resistance.

As mentioned above, a polymer containing 90 mol% or more is more preferable, and if the repeating unit is less than 70 mol%, it is difficult to obtain a composition having specific properties. Various known methods can be used to obtain this polymer, but sodium sulfide and p-dichlorobenzene are mixed in an amide solvent such as N-methylpyrrolidone or dimethylacetamide or a sulfone solvent such as sulfolane. A method in which the reaction is carried out is suitable. At this time, it is a preferable method to add an alkali metal carboxylate such as sodium acetate or lithium acetate in order to adjust the degree of polymerization. The copolymerization component may be contained in an amount of less than 30 mol %, which does not affect the crystallinity of the polymer, but preferably the copolymerization component is less than 10 mol %.

果を表20まとめた。Example 5.6 The modified polyphenylene ether of Reference Example 1 and the modified polyphenylene sulfide of Reference Example 4 were mixed in the composition shown in Table 2, and then melt-kneaded using a twin-screw extruder at a temperature of 300 to 320°C and pelletized. . A part of the obtained pellet was separated in the same manner as in Example 1, and the content of benzene insoluble matter and the reaction rate of polyphenylene ether were determined. Further, the obtained pellet was injection molded to obtain a dumbbell piece having a thickness of % inch for tensile testing and a test piece having a thickness of 1/4 inch for measuring heat deformation temperature. Using these test pieces, tensile strength, elongation at break, and heat distortion temperature under a load of 18.6 kg/d'R were measured. In addition, (a dumbbell piece for a front tension test was fixed with a three-point support with a force of 10% of the bending strength, and immersed in normal butane for 1 hour. By comparing the presence or absence of cracks and the time until cracks appeared) Stress crack resistance was evaluated. All results are summarized in Table 20.
