For example, when constructing a new sewer line, manholes are installed at appropriate intervals along the pipeline. Fig. 4 shows an example of this manhole, in which a plurality of fume pipes d and e are connected to a concrete side wall c of a frame a which has a space b large enough for a worker to enter, and one side is connected to the other through the space b. is configured to allow sewage to flow from one pipe d to the other pipe e. To join the fume pipes d and e to the frame a, the tip of the pipe d is placed in a formwork (not shown) and concrete d is poured (X section on the left side of Figure 4), or the tip is inserted into a hole. A method is used in which the concrete wall d is fitted into the cut out concrete wall d and the surrounding area is caulked with mortar g (section Y on the right side of Fig. 4).

However, the above-mentioned conventional joining means both have a fixed joint structure in which the pipes d and e are rigidly connected to the manhole body a, which makes it difficult to construct pipes on unstable ground such as soft ground or embankment ground. In the case of
When the pipes d and e are displaced relative to each other, external forces such as bending and shearing are applied to the pipes d and e, and breakage accidents tend to occur near the attachment points A and B of the pipes d and e, leading to problems with water leakage and infiltration. Also, water leakage or intrusion may occur due to insufficient connection between the frame a and the pipes d and e.

In view of the above points, the purpose of this invention is to eliminate as much as possible the above-mentioned pipe breakage accidents and problems such as water leakage and intrusion even if there is no breakage.
To achieve this objective, we provide a manhole joint in which a waterproof sheet and cushioning material are wrapped around the tip of a pipe buried in the side wall of the manhole, and a water expansion ring is fitted around the outside. .

The manhole joint having the above configuration has a structure that can easily and flexibly receive the external force.
In other words, the cushion material wrapped around the outer circumference of the tube absorbs a certain amount of external force.
If the external force becomes larger than this and the pipe breaks, a waterproof sheet will be used to prevent water leakage and infiltration. In addition, the water expansion ring always seals the joint regardless of whether or not a pipe breakage occurs, thereby preventing water leakage and intrusion.

In FIG. 1, the reference numeral 2 indicates the manhole frame 1.
A part of a concrete wall is shown, and the tip of a fume pipe 5 is joined to the inner periphery of a hole 3 drilled in the concrete wall 2 via mortar caulking 4. A waterproof sheet 6 which has been self-adhesive to the tube 5 by pasting double-sided adhesive tape or the like is wrapped around the entire circumference of the tip of the hume tube 5, and is also wrapped around the outer circumference. A cushion material 8 is wrapped around the entire circumference, and a water expansion ring 9 having a rectangular cross section is fitted at the center of the concrete wall 2 in the thickness direction W on the outer circumference.

The waterproof sheet 6 and the cushion material 8 are both attached to the outer periphery of the concrete wall 2 by fitting the tip into the hole 3 of the concrete wall 2 and applying mortar caulking 4 to the surrounding area. It is formed wider and extends to the outer periphery of the part where the pipe 5 protrudes from the concrete wall 2.

When a pipeline is constructed with a manhole and a fume pipe 5 connected by the above-mentioned joint, if a relative displacement occurs between the frame 1 and the fume pipe 5 due to the influence of the ground, etc., and an external force acts on the fume pipe 5, the As long as the external force is of a certain magnitude, the cushion material 8 absorbs it and prevents the pipe 5 from breaking (including minute cracks). Furthermore, when the external force becomes larger than that and the pipe 5 breaks, the waterproof sheet 6 prevents water leakage and intrusion. Both the waterproof sheet 6 and the cushion material 8 have the characteristic that their widths can be freely adjusted by cutting. Therefore, any position and area can be waterproofed, and multiple sets of the waterproof sheet 6 and the cushion material 8 may be used in combination. In this case, a seam allowance 10 is provided around the waterproof sheet 6 to prevent leakage from the seams. Further, as its name suggests, the water expansion ring 9 is made of a rubber material that absorbs water and expands, and is used to reliably seal between the cushion material 8 and the mortar caulking 4. Concrete wall 2 is constructed separately from material 8.
They can be attached to any position depending on the thickness of the plate, and the number of pieces may be increased depending on the case.

As explained above, the manhole joint of the present invention is made by wrapping a waterproof sheet and cushion material around the tip of a pipe buried in the side wall of a manhole, and inserting a water expansion ring around the outside. In addition to being able to prevent breakage and leakage accidents by making full use of the characteristics of each component, it also has the advantage of being easy to install, and the practical effects of the present invention are extremely large.
