Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent theft of an expensive telephone unit which is installed in hotel or the like by constituting the unit as that a modular jack will not be pulled out from a modular if the keys of the preset numbers is not pressed. CONSTITUTION:A modular jack 22 is semi-fixed with a rachet 23. When the modular jack 22 is pulled out, the preset numbers are inputted from a key part 29. A solenoid drive circuit 28 detects the input and confirms whether or not the entry numbers are the preset numbers. If the numbers are correct, the drive current flows from the output terminal of the solenoid drive circuit 28 to the solenoid 24 while the final one of the entry keys is pressed so that a lock part 27 is actuated in the direction of the telephone unit 1 of the solenoid 24 to pull the rachet 23 with which the lock part 27 is engaged.
