Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a lid and to improve its work efficiency when the lid is connected with or disconnected from its main body by providing a reinforcing plate between the inner surface of the lid and the other end of a torsion spring which forms a spiral part on its axial part and fits one end of it on the side of main body of the rice boiler and the other end in the inner surface of the lid. CONSTITUTION:A torsion spring 17 has a spiral part 17a which is removably supported through a hollow shaft 12b, and one end 17b thereof is fitted on the side of main body 10 of a rice boiler and the other end 17c is fitted in the inner surface of a lid body 11 through a slot. A reinforcing plate 18 is formed by a metal plate fixed by screws 19 between the other end 17c of the torsion spring 17 and the inner surface of the lid body 11, and is curvedly fitted in being laid across a bending part 11a of the lid body 11 formed on the upper side of an axial part 12.
