金属製の補強環３と弾性体製のシール部４からな
る軸シールにおいて；前記補強環３はハウジング
１に装着されシール部４は軸方向あるいは径方向
に突出するシールリツプ５を有しており、前記補
強環３の外周部にハウジング１取付け部より大径
のフランジ６を設け、該フランジ６の外周部を軸
方内側に折り曲げあるいは突出せしめて突出部７
を形成すると共に、該突出部７の内周側にシール
部４から連続してその端面より軸方に突出する環
状突起８を設けたことを特徴とする軸シール。 (2) 前記突出部７に切り欠き部９を形成したこ
