を備えたすえ込鍛造用金型により棒状素材を片側
から冷間すえ込鍛造加工して基端の細径部にアー
ム主体より若干小径の断面扇形のペダルストツパ
部を有し先端にクランク軸取付部を有する直線状
のアーム素材を成形し、次に該アーム素材をすえ
込鍛造用金型を分割することなくノツクアウト
し、これを合わせ面が屈曲した型鍛造用金型で冷
間曲げ加工することを特徴とするものである。

凹部4を形成したものである。このようなすえ込
鍛造用金型5内に一点鎖線で示されるように棒状
素材6を装入してパンチ7で冷間すえ込鍛造加工
を行い、第3図に示されるような基端の細径部1
0にアーム主体11より若干小径の一対のペダル
ストツパ部12を備え、先端にクランク軸取付部
13を形成した直線状のアーム素材14を得る。
このとき、ペダルストツパ部12の最大径はアー
ム主体11の外径よりも小さいので、冷間すえ込
鍛造加工は円滑に行われることとなる。次にすえ
込鍛造用金型5を分割することなくノツクピン8
によりすえ込鍛造用金型5からアーム素材14を
離型し、第4図、第5図に示すようにアーム素材
14の最終仕上形状をした型凹部20を有する冷
間型鍛造用金型21の下型22内にアーム素材1
4を載置したうえ冷間型鍛造用金型21の上型2
3を下降させれば、アーム素材14はほとんどバ
リを生ずることもなく最終仕上形状に冷間型鍛造
曲げ加工され第6図に示される製品30が得られ
る。

型によりアーム素材を冷間曲げ加工を行つて最終
仕上げ製品を得るものであるから、バリがほとん
ど発生せず、従来のようにバリトリミングや切削
加工による材料の無駄がなく、歩留が大巾に改善
される。しかも、熱間加工の場合のようにスケー
ルがなくて表面肌が美しく鏡面仕上をする場合以
外、特別の表面処理を施す必要がないので、処理
工程が少なく、さらに熱間鍛造金型に比較して金
型寿命が長いうえに型形状も正確である等多くの
利点を有するもので、業界にもたらすところ極め
て大なものである。
