(Problem to be solved by the invention) In this type of conventional jack, when the contact piece is placed in an unloaded state and the plug is inserted into the cavity from the sleeve, the contact piece is attached to the ground part and ring part of the plug. The contact parts of the contact parts interfere with each other, and each contact piece is elastically deformed in the width direction of the body, that is, in the thickness direction of each contact piece.
In this case, the elastic return force causes the contact portion to come into elastic contact with the plug.

In this way, with a configuration in which the contact piece placed under no load is elastically deformed and the resulting elastic return force causes the contact part to come into elastic contact with the circumferential surface of the plug, reliable electrical continuity cannot be achieved. In order to obtain an elastic return force large enough to bring the contact portion into elastic contact with the circumferential surface of the plug using the resulting contact pressure, a contact piece that is thick and wide is required.

The body into which such a thick and wide contact piece is incorporated has an increased width (in the thickness direction of the contact piece) and length (in the width direction of the contact piece), making it larger and smaller. This has become a problem that is contrary to the desired trend.

The present invention was made to improve the problems of the conventional technology, and although the contact piece is thin and narrow, the contact part can be connected to the circumferential surface of the plug with reliable electrical power. It is an object of the present invention to provide a jack which can be brought into elastic contact with a contact pressure that provides electrical conduction, thereby realizing miniaturization.

A locking portion is formed at the upper end of the contact piece that is inserted into both side walls of the body from below the respective contact piece insertion positions to the cavity, and from which the lower end terminal portion is led out from the contact piece holding hole of the cover. The locking portion is elastically locked to the inner end in the body width direction of the contact piece locking portion, and the contact portion provided below the locking portion is disposed in the cavity.

(Effect of the invention) As explained above, according to the invention, the contact piece locking part is formed on the top wall of the body, and the cavity of the body is opened from below the contact piece insertion position on each side wall of the body. A locking part is formed at the upper end of the contact piece that is inserted through the contact piece holding hole of the cover and leads out the lower end terminal part from the contact piece holding hole of the cover, and this locking part is elastically engaged with the inner end in the width direction of the body of the contact piece part locking part. When the plug is inserted into the cavity from the sleeve, the contact portion interferes with the circumferential surface of the plug and the contact portion provided on the lower side of the locking portion is placed in the cavity. The contact part is elastically locked to the outer end of the body width direction of the contact piece locking part, and the contact part is brought into elastic contact with the circumferential surface of the plug, so even if the contact piece is thin and narrow, the contact The portion can be made elastic with a large contact pressure that ensures reliable electrical continuity with the circumferential surface of the plug.
