結果は下記表に示す通りである。
The present invention relates to an insect repellent latex composition and a method for producing the same, and more particularly to a latex composition that can be applied to textile rugs such as carpets, carpets, and mats to impart insect repellent properties to the rugs. In recent years, it is known that changes in lifestyles, especially improvements in the airtightness of houses and the spread of air conditioning and heating, have created an environment in which pests are more likely to reside in houses. In addition, rugs such as carpets and rugs have become popular, and these carpets and rugs tend to absorb fine dust and dust, making it easy for dust mites to infest carpets and rugs in homes. Some of these mites are said to be the cause of certain allergies and diseases. Furthermore, it goes without saying that cockroaches and the like are typical household pests and transmit various pathogens, and the necessity of exterminating these pests cannot be ignored. However, conventional methods for exterminating these mites, cockroaches, etc. are limited to, for example, installing a trap in a cellar or the like or directly spraying insecticides. The insecticidal effect disappears in a very short time, or
Alternatively, there is no known method for permanently exterminating mites and cockroaches that is directed against specific pests. The present invention provides a novel insect repellent latex composition that can exhibit an extremely long-term effective insecticidal or repellent effect when applied to carpets, carpets, and other textile rugs. That is, the present invention provides an insect repellent latex composition comprising a latex emulsion in which colloidal particles of natural rubber or synthetic rubber are uniformly emulsified in an aqueous phase, and further blended with an insect repellent component, a filler, and/or a thickener. It is a thing. Such insect repellent latex compositions are made by emulsifying insect repellent components, fillers and/or thickeners in a latex emulsion in which colloidal particles of natural rubber or synthetic rubber and an emulsifier are dispersed and emulsified in an aqueous phase serving as a dispersion medium. It can be produced by mixing the insect repellent component with the filler and/or thickener in the latex emulsion and then emulsifying the mixture. A specific example of the insect repellent latex composition of the present invention preferably includes colloidal natural rubber or synthetic rubber particles having a particle size of approximately 0.01 to 2μ in the aqueous phase.
Contains 80W/W%, emulsifier approximately 0.1-10W/W%, and insect repellent component approximately 0.01-1.0W/W%.
W%, about 1 to 70% filler, and/or about 0 to 10% thickener, and if each component is blended in these proportions, it will turn pale yellow to An insect repellent latex is obtained as a white creamy liquid composition. In the present invention, the insect repellent component blended into the latex emulsion must have appropriate incompatibility with the constituent components of the latex layer after the insect repellent latex is applied. An example of this is an insect repellent component having a pressure of about 1×10 -7 to 1×10 -2 mmHg. Examples of such insect repellent ingredients include diazinon,
Organophosphate insecticides such as fenitrothion, fenthion, chlorpyrifosmethyl, BPMC
(Chemical name: 2-sec-butylphenyl-N-methylcarbamate), MIPC (Chemical name: 2-isopropylphenyl-N-methylcarbamate), XMC
(Chemical name: 3,4-xylyl-N-methylcarbamate), PHC (Chemical name: 2-isopropoxyphenyl-N-methylcarbamate), MTMC (Chemical name: 3-methylphenyl-N-methylcarbamate) Carbamate insect repellents or pyrethroid insect repellents such as pyrethrin, phthalthrin, allethrin, phenothrin, resmetren, and permethrin can be used. Among these, preferred insect repellent ingredients include diazinon, fentrotinone, fenthion, and BPMC. The above insect repellent ingredients are latex emulsion.
About 0.01 to 2 parts by weight, preferably about 0.07 to 1.5 parts by weight, particularly preferably about 0.1 to 1.5 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight.
Preferably, 1.2 parts by weight is used. Since these insect repellent components are generally difficult to dissolve in water, it is preferable to use them by emulsifying and dispersing them in water in advance. When emulsifying and dispersing the insect repellent component in water, an emulsifier may be used or this may be carried out mechanically. In this case, the emulsifier is not particularly limited as long as it is inert to insect repellent ingredients, such as sodium abietate,
Rosin acid preparations such as potassium dehydroabietate and sodium tetrahydroabietate,
Fatty acid bases such as tall oil bases, sodium myristate, potassium laurate, sodium stearate, and sodium oleate can be used. In addition, when it is carried out mechanically, it can be carried out using, for example, a commercially available emulsifier, high-pressure emulsifier, or the like. In any of the above cases, the concentration of the insect repellent component in the emulsified dispersion of the insect repellent component is approximately 20~
A suitable value is 60W/W%. The insect repellent component described above may be used in the form of microcapsules. For example, diazinon can be used by being contained in a wall film such as a polyamide polymer, polyester polymer, or crosslinked nylon. Furthermore, these microencapsulated insect repellent components can be used alone or in suspension together with the above-mentioned emulsifiers to form an aqueous emulsion. The latex emulsion used in the present invention may be one obtained by stably emulsifying and dispersing colloidal natural rubber or synthetic rubber particles in an aqueous phase using an emulsifier. Such a latex emulsion includes, in addition to natural rubber, colloidal rubber particle components in the emulsion, such as styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, isoprene rubber, chloroprene rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber,
Isobutylene-isoprene rubber, acrylic rubber,
Acrylic acid - acrylonitrile rubber, ethylene -
Examples include emulsions of propylene butadiene rubber or mixtures thereof. Among these, the rubber component is natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, acrylic acid-acrylonitrile rubber,
Particularly preferred are latex emulsions of acrylic rubber or mixtures thereof. It is sufficient that these rubber components are contained in the aqueous phase in an amount of approximately 30 to 70 W/W%, and the particle size thereof may be within the range of the particle size as described above for the insect repellent latex composition. . In addition, as the emulsifier for stably emulsifying these rubber colloid particles, the emulsifier used in emulsifying and dispersing the insect repellent component above can be used, and any emulsifier that can be used in the production of synthetic rubber can also be used. Can be done. Additives such as a vulcanizing agent, a vulcanization accelerator, and an anti-aging agent may be added for the purpose of preventing deterioration or improving the quality of the rubber components in the rubber latex emulsion. Any of these additives can be used as long as they are commonly used for natural rubber or for preventing deterioration or improving the quality of natural rubber. Examples of vulcanizing agents include sulfur, dibenzylquinone dioxime, and P-quinone dioxime. , dithiodimorphine, selenium, tellurium, zinc white, etc. Examples of vulcanization accelerators include dithiocarbamic acid-based vulcanization accelerators such as sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate, sodium diethyldithiocarbamate, pipecolyldithiocarbamate, zinc ethylphenyldithiocarbamate, zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate, diphenylguanidine, and dithiocarbamate. -O-tolylguanidine, guanidine-based vulcanization accelerator such as O-tolylguanidine, 2-
Thiazole-based vulcanization accelerators such as mercaptobenzothiazole, dibenzothiazyl disulfide, and N-cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazyl sulfenamide can be used. Furthermore, anti-aging agents include, for example, phenolic anti-aging agents such as di-t-butyl cresol, styrenated phenol, and dihydroxydiphenylcyclohexane, and allylamine anti-aging agents such as phenylnaphthylamine, dinaphthylphenylenediamine, and diallylphenylenediamine. Agents and the like can be suitably used. These include approximately 0.5 to 3 W/W% of the vulcanizing agent and approximately 0.3 to 3 percent of the vulcanization accelerator in the latex emulsion.
It is appropriate to mix 2W/W% and an anti-aging agent at about 0.3 to 2W/W%, respectively. As the filler which is the other component of the present invention, carbon black, white carbon, calcium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, basic magnesium carbonate, clay, zinc white, diatomaceous earth, alumina, asbestos, etc. can be used. Particularly preferred are aluminum hydroxide, calcium carbonate, clay, and the like. These fillers are preferably used in an amount of about 100 to 300 W/W%, particularly preferably 200 W/W%, based on the latex emulsion. Further, when a thickener is used in the present invention, the thickener may be any thickener as long as it can adjust the latex composition of the present invention to a desired viscosity and is inert to insecticidal ingredients. Specific examples include sodium alginate, casein, glue, gelatin, methylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, sodium polyacrylate, vinyl acetate, emulsion, ammonium casein, polyvinyl alcohol, and acrylic.
Emulsion, starch, sodium silicate, bentonite, etc. can be used, and if necessary, these may be added from about 1 to
It is preferable to mix 5W/W%. To produce the insect repellent latex of the present invention, first, if desired, a vulcanizing agent, a vulcanization accelerator, and an anti-aging agent are added and mixed into a latex emulsion, and then the insect repellent component and filler and (or ) Add a thickener and mix to emulsify and disperse, or emulsify the insect repellent component, filler, and/or thickener in water in advance, and then add a vulcanizing agent, etc. to the mixture in the latex emulsion. It can be produced by mixing. In the above case, whether all the components are added and then emulsified and dispersed, or if each component is individually emulsified in water and used, emulsification can be carried out by a conventional method.
For example, it can be carried out using a commercially available emulsifier. still. At this time, the pH of the latex emulsion may vary depending on the various additives added to the latex emulsion, which may reduce the effectiveness of the insect repellent component. Therefore, such PH fluctuations can be avoided and the desired PH range for the insect repellent component is determined. It is preferable to adjust the pH appropriately so that The desirable pH range is, for example, 7 to 8 for diazinon, and 3 to 7.5 for other organophosphate insect repellent components and carbamate insect repellent components. PH
Examples of pH adjusting agents that can be used for adjustment include basic substances such as ammonia, sodium hydroxide, and potassium hydroxide, acidic substances such as mineral acids such as hydrochloric acid, organic acids such as citric acid, and cationic surfactants. can be used as appropriate. An insect repellent latex composition can then be obtained by adding water to the resulting mixture as needed to adjust the viscosity and total solids concentration to a desired level. The insect repellent latex composition thus obtained has a PH within the optimum PH range of the insect repellent component and a viscosity of approximately 100 to 40,000 c.ps, approximately 100 to 2,000 c.ps when applied by spraying, or approximately 100 to 2,000 c.ps when applied by spraying. Especially preferred is about 10,000 to 30,000 c.ps when coated. The total solids concentration in the composition is preferably about 20-80 W/W%, particularly about 20-60 W/W% for spray coating and about 40-80 W/W% for roller coating. preferable. In addition, an antifoaming agent, a coloring agent, a softening agent, a flame retardant, etc. can be appropriately added to the insect repellent latex composition of the present invention, if desired. Examples of antifoaming agents include silicone oil and colloidal silica; colorants include titanium white, cadmium yellow, and cadmium red; and softeners include spindle oil, etc.
Liquid paraffin etc. can be used, respectively.
Furthermore, halides and the like can be used as flame retardants. These various compounding agents can be added as appropriate at any stage of the production of the insect repellent latex composition, but it is preferable to add them before the viscosity is adjusted by adding a thickener and water. The thus obtained insect repellent latex composition of the present invention can be used as a coating latex composition for various textile products (in addition to carpets and carpets, doormats,
An insect repellent latex can be formed on the coated surface of the textile product by applying it to various types of pine such as bath mats, cloth sheets, etc., and then drying and curing it. Specific examples of such textile products include carpets such as loop carpets,
Examples include carpets commonly used inside and outside houses, such as tufted carpets such as cut carpets, needle punch carpets, etc., and those lined with jute. Moreover, these carpet materials are not particularly limited, and may include wool,
Natural fibers such as linen and cotton, synthetic fibers such as polyester, nylon, acrylic, and polypropylene can be suitably used. In order to apply the insect repellent latex composition to these rugs, conventional methods in this technical field, such as commercially available carpet coaters or spray devices, can be suitably employed. The coating amount is about 0.2 to 2 Kg/m 2 as a latex composition, especially about 1 Kg/m 2
The insect repellent component is, for example, an organophosphorus insect repellent component,
In the case of carbamate insect repellent ingredients, approximately 0.1 to 10 g/m 2 ,
Especially about 0.5 to 5 g/m 2 , about 0.1 to 5 g/m 2 for pyrethroid insect repellent ingredients, especially 0.5 to 2
It is preferable to adjust the amount of the insect repellent latex composition applied so that the insect repellent latex composition has an amount of g/m 2 . The carpet is then dried at about 80 DEG to 160 DEG C., especially about 100 DEG to 140 DEG C., thereby hardening the latex composition and forming a latex layer having an insect repellent effect. As mentioned above, the insect repellent latex composition of the present invention is extremely useful as it can be applied to fiber rugs to impart insect repellent properties, and can be applied to carpets, carpets, pine, etc. to form a latex layer. dust mites, dust mites,
Indoor mites such as claw mites, German cockroaches,
It has an insecticidal or repellent effect on cockroaches such as black cockroaches, American cockroaches, and Japanese cockroaches, as well as textile pests such as burrs, Japanese burrs, and house ants, and also shows an effect on controlling the growth of mites. . Moreover, in the latex composition of the present invention, after the latex layer is formed, the insect repellent component inside the latex layer is incompatible with the rubber component forming the latex. The carpet as a whole exhibits a long-term insect repellent effect because the insect repellent component reaches the surface from inside the layer and compensates for the loss of insect repellent power due to evaporation from the surface. Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained in more detail with reference to Examples and Experimental Examples. Experimental example Insecticidal latex was applied to jutan to examine its effectiveness. <Experimental method> Apply insecticidal latex (produced in the same manner as in Experimental Example 1) containing the chemicals shown in Table 1 below to a carpet (10 x 10 cm) at a rate of 1.3 kg/m 2 (at this time , each agent was applied to the carpet at a rate of 2 g/m 2 ). Then, dry at 140℃ for 10 to 20 minutes. Next, 20 adult German cockroaches were brought into contact with both the latex-applied surface and the fiber surface of this carpet, and the number of deaths over time was confirmed to confirm the effectiveness. <Results> The results are shown in the table below.
