Conventional Structure and Problems Conventionally, in this type of iron, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a heat insulating part 3 is provided on a metal base 2 having a heater 1. A handle 4 is provided on top of the handle 3. An electronic control circuit 5 for controlling the temperature of the base 2 is attached to the rear of the handle 4, and a voltage drop resistor 6 is mounted on the base 2 to lower the voltage to a voltage value for driving the electronic control circuit 5. It was directly fixed via the support member 7. This voltage drop resistor 6 is an insulating member 9
The electronic control circuit 5 is connected to the electronic control circuit 5 by a lead wire 8 covered with
was connected to. The reason for fixing the voltage drop resistor 6 directly on the base 2 is that instead of the temperature control method that controls the temperature of the base using a bimetal, etc., we have adopted an electronic control method that controls the temperature using an electronic circuit. This is because the bimetal that was previously installed is no longer necessary, and the voltage drop resistor 6 can be easily installed by using this bimetal installation space.

However, in this configuration, the voltage drop resistor 6
In order to insulate the lead wire 8 from the base 2, it was necessary to cover the lead wire 8 with an insulating member 9. Furthermore, since the temperature of the base 2 rises to about 200°C, in order to ensure reliability, the voltage drop resistor 6 must be of high quality with high heat resistance, and the insulating member must also be made of high quality heat resistant material. However, this method has the problem of high cost.

Structure of the Invention The iron of the present invention includes a base heated by a heater, a heat insulating part covering the upper surface of the base, a handle provided on the heat insulating part, a control circuit for the heater, and a commercial voltage A voltage drop resistor is provided to lower the voltage to a voltage suitable for driving the control circuit, and the voltage drop resistor is disposed in a hollow portion formed on the upper surface side of the heat insulating portion by the handle.

According to the above configuration, since the voltage drop resistor is insulated from the base by the heat insulating part, there is no need for an insulating member for the lead wire of the voltage drop resistor, and the number of parts can be reduced, making the structure simpler and easier to assemble. This improves work efficiency. Furthermore, since the ambient temperature of the voltage drop resistor is significantly lower than that of a resistor that is directly fixed to the base, it is possible to lower the heat resistance of the voltage drop resistor, and costs can be reduced.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In Figures 1 and 2,
Insulation section 1 on base 10 with heater 11
2 is provided, and a handle 13 is provided on this heat insulating board 12. A hollow part 14 is formed between the heat insulating part 12 and the lower part of the handle 13, and both the heat insulating part 12 and the handle 13 are made of insulating resin. A control circuit 15 for controlling the temperature of the base 10 is attached to the rear of the handle 13. This control circuit 1
In order to secure a voltage suitable for driving 5 from a general household power source (AC 100V), a voltage drop resistor 16 is installed in the hollow part 13 via a support member 17.
It is fixed to the boss 18 of the heat insulating part 12 with screws. In the above configuration, the voltage drop resistor 16 is fixed in the hollow part 14 of the insulating handle 13 and the heat insulating part 12, so the lead wire 19 of the voltage drop resistor 16 comes into contact with the handle 13 and the heat insulating part 12. No short circuit or leakage will occur even if it occurs. Therefore, the lead wire 19 does not need to be insulated with an insulating member or the like, and the lead wire 19 of the voltage drop resistor 16 can be simplified. Furthermore, since the ambient temperature within the hollow portion 14 is considerably lower than the temperature of the base 10,
The voltage drop resistor 16 does not have to be highly heat resistant and has the effect of reducing costs.

Next, another embodiment of the present invention will be described based on FIG. In Figure 3, voltage drop resistor 2
0 is a hollow part 2 composed of a handle 21 and a heat insulating part 22
3, the rib 24 of the handle 21 and the heat insulating part 2
It is held between the ribs 25 of No. 2. In this case, a support member for fixing the voltage drop resistor 20 is not required, which is further effective in terms of simplifying the structure and assembly work and reducing costs.

Effects of the Invention As described above, in the present invention, a voltage drop resistor for lowering the commercial voltage to a voltage suitable for driving a control circuit is arranged in a hollow space formed on the upper surface side of the heat insulating part by the handle. As a result, heat from the base is cut off by the heat insulating section, and overheating of the voltage drop resistor itself can be prevented. Therefore,
It is possible to use an inexpensive product with a low allowable heat resistance temperature, and it is easy to connect to the control circuit mounted on the handle.

In addition, since the hollow part is formed on the upper surface side of the heat insulating part by the handle which is an electrical insulator, it is easy to electrically insulate the lead wire as well as voltage drop resistance. A highly secure configuration can be obtained.

Furthermore, since the voltage drop resistor is placed in the hollow part formed on the top side of the heat insulating part by the handle, it is possible to prevent adverse thermal effects on the control circuit due to self-heating of the voltage drop resistor itself. It is.
