Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow winding of a film without requiring spools by introducing the front end of the film drawn out of a cartridge into the space between both guide members from the spacing between the two guide members of a winder by a film feeding means and winding the film while feeding the film into the space. CONSTITUTION:The front end of the film 1a is inserted from the cartridge 1 into the spacing between film feed rollers 3a and 3b. On the other hand, a collet chuck 20 is inserted into the space between the guide members 6a and 6b. The front end of the film 1a is introduced from the spacing between the guide members 6a and 6b of the winder 6 into the space between the two members when a motor 5 is run and the chuck 10 is rotated at a high speed. Further, the front end of the film winds on the chuck 10 rotating at a high speed and the film is wound when the film 1a is delivered by the feed rollers 3a, 3b. The revolutions of the motor 5 and the chuck 10 are stopped and the formation of a scroll is completed. The film is wound in this way without requiring the spools.

Unlike regular cameras, this type of camera leaves the film unwound after shooting, without unwinding it.
Because the film itself must be taken out to a bright room for the subsequent development process, it is necessary to store the film in a cartridge to prevent it from being exposed. Even with film-integrated cameras, in order to avoid increased costs and to be able to use a general-purpose processing machine as is, we used 35m+s film (roll film J 135JIS) with a regular cartridge.
7519), but as mentioned above, in order to avoid unwinding the film after shooting, a new empty cartridge is prepared on the winding side, and the film after shooting is wound into that cartridge, which is a double cartridge type. Film-integrated cameras are commercially available. However, since a film-integrated camera does not unwind the film after it has been shot, in the double cartridge system mentioned above, after the entire 37 minutes of film have been shot, the cartridge that originally contained the unexposed film remains empty. Since it is not used after that, the cartridge is wasted, and it is disadvantageous in terms of cost.

Before storing i-film in the camera, pull out all the unexposed film stored in the cartridge in a dark room, wind it on a spool or without using a spool (so-called pull winding), and store the rolled part in the film storage compartment of the camera body. An integrated film camera has been developed in which the empty cartridge is stored in the film take-up chamber.

(Object and structure of the invention) The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a device for winding a film without using a spool. 1 disposed opposite to the film feeding means for pulling out the film stored in the cartridge from the cartridge and feeding it in the longitudinal direction;
Consisting of a pair of guide members, a substantially cylindrical space having an axis perpendicular to the film feeding direction is formed between the two guide members, and the film is slid on the inner surfaces of the guide members forming the space. A winding machine provided with a sliding means and a clamping means for clamping a part of the film after the film winding operation is completed are provided, and the leading end of the film pulled out from the cartridge by the film feeding means is held on both sides of the winding machine. Introduced from the gap between the guide members into the space between both guide members,
The structure is such that the film is not fed into the space but rolled up.

On the other hand, a collet chuck 10 that is divided into three parts in the axial direction is provided on the side of the winding machine 6. When pressed against the collet chuck 10 with a cylinder or the like, the three divided chuck pieces are expanded as shown in FIG. The collet chuck 10 moves forward in the axial direction with the chuck pieces expanded so that the entire collet chuck 10 can enter the cylindrical space between the guide members 6a and 6b and can rotate at high speed.

When the above preparations are completed, the motor 5 is rotated and the collet chuck 10 is rotated at high speed. The film feed roller 3a rotates and the film 1a is pulled out from the cartridge 1, and its tip is connected to the guide plates 7a and 7b.
It is introduced into the space between the guide members 6a, 6b of the winder 6 through the gap 6C between the guide members 6a and 6b.

When the film la is further sent out by the feed rollers 3a and 3b, the leading edge of the film advances along the inside of the film that is sliding along the inner surface of the guide member 6b, and the curl that the film itself originally has acts to cause the leading edge of the film to move as shown in FIG. The film advances along the inside of the film as shown by the chain line, and eventually the leading edge of the film slides into contact with the collet chuck 10, which is rotating at high speed, and eventually winds up, causing the film to be wound up.

After that, the cylinders 9a and 9b are operated to release the guide members 6a and 6.
b is slightly released, the wound film is removed from the winding machine 6 while being wound around the collet chuck 10, and the next step is carried out, for example, the step of transporting it to the film storage chamber of the camera body. This conveyance work is not the gist of the present invention and will not be further described.

When removing the wound film from the collet chuck 10, pull the expansion rod 11 away from the collet chuck 10, and the chuck pieces divided into three parts will return to the expanded state and the diameter will become smaller, so it can be used as a pull-wound film. It can be removed easily.

In the above embodiment, a collet chuck lO was used to facilitate film winding, but pull winding is possible without using this. Furthermore, although a large number of small rollers 8 are arranged on the inner surface of each guide member in the winding machine 6, instead of providing small rollers, the inner surface may be made smooth so that the film can easily slide.
