Abstract

PURPOSE:To effect markedly excellent rust-preventing performance by coating the surface of a brake shoe with a mixed liquid in which a specific weight ratio of metal zinc powder is mixed with a resin liquid and baking same at a high temperature to form a surface treated layer. CONSTITUTION:A web 1b is integrally installed on the inner periphery side of a rim portion 1a which is curvedly formed with iron, in a T-shaped section to form a brake shoe 1. A surface treated layer 2 is formed on the surface of this brake shoe 1. This surface treated layer 2 is formed by coating the surface of the brake shoe 1 with a mixed liquid in which a metal zinc powder of 5-20% weight ratio is mixed with a resin liquid and by baking same at a high temperature. Thereby, rust-preventing performance can be markedly improved preventing the separation of linking.

However, with the above surface treatment, the brake shoes are coated with salt water or W! If sexual fluid gets on your skin, itchiness will occur in a relatively short period of time.
As this growth progresses, the brake shoe may corrode and the lining to which it is bonded may peel off.

Comparing the rust prevention performance against 5% salt water between brake shoe 1 with surface treatment layer 2 and brake shoe with conventional surface treatment, it was found that the conventional brake shoe completely rusted within 3 days. On the other hand, with Brake Shoe 1, rust did not occur for more than 10 days when a 5% mixture of metal zinc powder was applied, and no rust occurred for more than 40 days when a 20% mixture was applied.
