“Conventional technology” Conventionally, the first insulating waterproof cover as described above
Structure as shown in Fig. 2
No. 2) is known. In this conventional insulating waterproof cover, half-cover half members 1 and 2 having a semi-cylindrical shape are connected via a thin wall portion 3, and an electrical connection portion 4 is formed by joining the half-cover members 1 and 2 together. A flow prevention wall 1a for filling a water sealant is provided on one of the peripheral contact surfaces of the cover half members 1 and 2, and a space 1b defined by the flow prevention wall 1a is provided. It is filled with a water-sealing agent, and the water-sealing agent ensures adhesion between the abutting surfaces of the cover half members and makes them watertight. Therefore, in this cover, there are cases in which the above-mentioned watertight agent is filled in the space 1b of the cover in advance, and in cases in which it is filled in the space 1b when the cover is used. Water sealants must not deteriorate, harden, or foam during storage, so in reality there are almost no water sealants that can be used as water sealants.
In the latter case, a fluid water sealing agent must be taken out from a separate container at a high place and filled into the space 1b, making the installation work of the insulating waterproof cover extremely complicated.

"Purpose of the invention" This invention was made in order to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional technology. It eliminates the risk of the water sealant changing its state when the cover is stored before use, and therefore limits the types of water sealants that can be used. It is an object of the present invention to provide an insulating waterproof cover that is free from water-sealing and allows easy adhesion of the cover to electric wires regardless of the fluidity of the water-sealing agent.

The water sealing agent sealed in the thin film bag 17 may include, for example, a grease-like non-curing water sealing agent such as a butyl-based mixture, or an air-curing or foaming water sealing agent such as polyurethane (for example, an isocyanate mixture). Can be used. Further, the thin film bag 17 may be one that can be easily torn when pressed against the protrusion 16 protruding from the inner wall of the portion forming the inner hollow portion 15. Further, in this embodiment, two water sealant-filled thin film bags 17 housed in each inner hollow portion 15 are connected to each other by a thread 17a.

``Effect of the invention'' As explained above, the insulating waterproof cover of the invention is made up of a thin film bag containing a water sealant sealed in the inner hollow part of the cover, so the water sealant inside the thin film bag does not come into contact with air. Therefore, when the cover is stored, the water sealant does not deteriorate, harden, foam, or otherwise change its condition. In addition, there are no restrictions on the type of water sealant that can be used, and the work of making the cover watertight by attaching it to the electric wires can be applied to the inner wall of the part that forms the inner hollow part of the cover when the insulating waterproof cover is closed. The protrusion protruding from the top pierces the thin film bag and the water sealant in the thin film bag fills the area around the area where the insulation coating has been peeled off, which requires complicated work such as filling or applying water sealant on site as in the past. It can be carried out very easily and efficiently regardless of the fluidity of the water sealant.
