FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the above-mentioned known example, in which an elliptical reflecting mirror 1 having a pair of conjoint focal points F and F' is constructed, and a light source 2 is placed at one focal point F of the pair of conjoint focal points. In this structure, a light bulb 3 is installed so that the lamp housing is positioned, and the elliptical reflector 1 is also used as a lamp housing, and a lens 4 is attached to the front opening of the lamp housing to cover the lamp housing.

[Problems to be solved by the invention] However, as a result of the optical characteristics of the ellipsoidal mirror in the lamp according to the above configuration, the luminous flux distribution near A in the figure is dense and the luminous intensity is high, and the luminous intensity near B in the figure is high. There is a problem that the luminous flux distribution is sparse and the luminous intensity is low.

This idea was created in view of the above circumstances.
To provide a vehicular lamp which has a small depth dimension, has a high effective utilization rate of luminous flux, and can obtain a uniform luminous intensity distribution over the entire lens surface.

In order to achieve the above object, the vehicle lamp of the present invention includes a concave mirror having a pair of convergent focal points in the lamp housing, and a light source installed at one of the pair of convergent focal points. In the vehicle lamp, the concave mirror has a pair of paraboloids of revolution whose axis of symmetry is a line connecting a pair of conjugate foci.

In the vehicle light constructed as above,
A part of the luminous flux emitted from the light source located at one focal point is condensed and projected at the other focal point, so the depth dimension of the lamp is short and the effective utilization rate of the luminous flux is high.
Furthermore, the light emitted from one of the focal points and reflected by the parabolic mirror of revolution becomes a parallel beam of light that heads toward the other focal point and is again condensed by the parabolic mirror of revolution, resulting in a significant change in the luminous flux. There is no risk of creating a difference in density,
The entire surface of the lens emits light evenly.

Furthermore, the light incident on the plane mirror 6 is not necessarily at the focal point.
Although it does not converge at f', the light incident near the center of the plane mirror 6 as indicated by arrow a4 heads toward focal point f' as indicated by arrow c4 .

Since the above-mentioned arrows b 1 , b 2 , and b 3 form a parallel beam of light, and the arrows a 1 , a 2 , and a 3 are symmetrical to c 1 , c 2 , and c 3 , easy to understand,
The light arrows d 1 , d 2 , d 3 that have passed through the focal point f' are uniformly dispersed, causing the surface of the lens 4' to emit light uniformly.
