Conventionally, as a method for connecting power cable conductors with the same diameter, it has been known to weld the opposing strands of twisted conductors to be connected by soldering, silver brazing, etc.; In the case of this method, since the conductor wire made of a highly conductive metal such as copper has good heat conduction, the heat during welding can easily be transferred to the insulating layer and cause it to burn out or deteriorate. There are problems in that such welding and connection work requires a great deal of time and skill.

In order to carry out this invention and make a same-diameter connection of power cable conductors, first, as shown in FIG. A conical male point 3 is formed at the end of the strand 2A, and a male point 3 is formed on the end face of each strand 2B on the other side to match the male point 3. A conical female hole 4 is formed into which the hole 4 is tightly fitted. Next, as shown in FIG. 2, the male pointed head 3 of each of the mutually opposing strands 2A and 2B is inserted into the female hole 4, and both twisted conductors to be connected as shown in FIG. 1A and 1B are coaxially butted together, and after covering the ends 6 of both twisted conductors 1A and 1B, including the butt portion 5, with a thin sleeve 7, the outer diameter of the thin sleeve 7 is fixed using a crimping machine (not shown). The thin sleeve 7 as well as the terminal vicinity 6 are compressed in the radial direction from the periphery until the outer diameter of the twisted conductors 1A, 1B substantially coincides with the outer diameter of both twisted conductors 1A, 1B, and the mutually opposing strands 2A, 2B are shaped into male-shaped points. The portion 3 and the female hole 4 are metallurgically crimped and connected at the fitting portions thereof, thus completing the work of connecting the twisted conductors 1A and 1B with the same diameter without creating a bulge at the connection portion.

In addition, when carrying out this invention, the male point 3 and the female hole 4 formed at the end of each strand 2A on one side and the end face of each strand 2B on the other side are as shown in FIG. The shape is not limited to the shape shown in FIG. 4, but may have other shapes, for example, as shown in FIG. 8A, a cylindrical portion 8B and a conical tip 8C are provided in series to form a male point 3', and the male point 3' is tightly attached to the end face of each strand 2B on the other side. It may be formed with a female hole 4' into which it is fitted. In the case of a male point and a female hole having the shape shown in FIG. 1 or FIG. . In other words, if the mating surfaces of both are made into a rough surface with minute irregularities, both strands 2A and 2B will mesh more closely in terms of metal structure at the mating end of the male pointed head and the female hole during compression. It is something that is joined. Furthermore, in the method of implementing the present invention, when the twisted conductors 1A and 1B to be connected are composed of a plurality of twisted wire layers, the fitting position of the male point and the female hole for each layer is adjusted in the longitudinal direction of the conductor. Alternatively, instead of compressing all the layers at once, each layer may be compressed sequentially from the inner layer to the outer layer.

According to this invention, the male pointed head 3 formed at the end of each strand 2A on one side facing each other is fitted into the female hole 4 formed on the end face of each strand 2B on the other side. At the fitting part, both strands 2A,
2B are crimped together to form both twisted conductors 1A,
Since 1B is connected, the temperature of the conductor strands does not increase during the connection work as in the case of conventional welding connections, and therefore, it is possible to reliably eliminate the risk of burning out or deteriorating the conductor insulation layer, and
The connection work can be completed in a relatively short time without requiring much heat training, and in particular, after coaxially butting both twisted conductors 1A and 1B, both the twisted conductors 1A and 1B, including the butt portion 5, Twisted conductor 1A, 1
The vicinity of the terminal 6 of B is covered with a thin sleeve 7, and the outer diameter of the thin sleeve 7 is the same as that of the twisted conductors 1A, 1.
Since the thin sleeve 7 and the area near the end 6 are compressed until the outer diameter substantially matches the outer diameter of B, the area near the end 6 is compressed.
can be compressed uniformly by preventing uneven distribution of compressive force, and can also prevent the surface of the compressed part from being disturbed and keep its surface condition smooth, which improves the strength and appearance of the joint. Effects such as being able to form a conductor connection portion with the same diameter that is the same as other portions can be obtained.
