(Prior art) As a method for manufacturing a drainboard-like article by connecting a plurality of elongated thermoplastic resin bodies, for example,
- As described in Publication No. 14332, a plurality of thermoplastic resin tubes are extruded downward from an extrusion molding machine while blowing air into the tubes in an annular arrangement, and the molten state of the annular arrangement is extruded downward. Conventionally, there has been a known method of manufacturing a slatted material by wrapping and fusing a thermoplastic resin strip around the outer circumference of a tube, and then cutting the strip in the axial direction of the tube and rolling it out into a flat plate. There is.

However, according to the above conventional method, the number of tubes to be extruded is limited by the size of the die of the extrusion molding machine, and it is not possible to manufacture a large number of tubes at will. The disadvantage was that it was not possible to produce similar products.

(Objective of the invention) The present invention eliminates the drawbacks of the above-mentioned conventional methods, uses a long body made of thermoplastic resin, and can easily manufacture products with arbitrary widths and widths in both the vertical and horizontal directions. It is an object of the present invention to provide a manufacturing method that can combine elongated objects of different colors to obtain objects with a rich color scheme.

The upper mold A descends and the hollow elongated bodies 3, 3,
At the same time as ... is compressed, a high frequency current is passed through both electrode plates, the resin in the compressed part melts, and further,
The upper mold is lowered until the distance between the two electrode plates reaches a desired distance, and the molten resin is crushed and squeezed out to both sides.

Each elongated body 3, 3,... is each convex portion 21 of the insulator 2b.
b, 21b..., so the resin melted between the upper and lower electrode plates flows into the convex parts 21b, 21b.
The molten resin is pressed out laterally along the side surfaces 22b, 22b of b..., and the molten resins pressed out in the same way from the adjacent elongated bodies collide and integrate to form connecting parts 4, 4..., and are cooled. A back grate is produced.

Since the extruded molten resin is integrated to form a connecting part, the resin in the compressed and molten part of the hollow elongated body is extruded to a slightly farther distance than the approximately midway between the adjacent hollow elongated bodies. The volume of the resin that covers this is determined by the thickness of the resin forming the hollow elongated body, the distance between the elongated bodies installed in parallel, and the tips of both electrode plates when they are closest to each other. Select as appropriate depending on the distance between surfaces, etc.

FIG. 6 shows an example in which pressing rods 5, 5, etc. each having a built-in nichrome wire 4 are used instead of using the electrode plate as the pressing rod in the above embodiment.
The figure shows a mode of continuously manufacturing slatted items,
Two upper electrode plates 1a, 1a that move up and down, and a number of lower electrode plates 1b, 1b, . A plurality of elongated bodies 3, 3,...
is supplied, heated and melted between the upper and lower electrode plates 1a and 1b, crushed to form a drainboard-like material at the connecting part, guided out of the device by guide rolls 8, cooled and solidified, and then cut into a predetermined length. It is then cut into the desired product.

Depending on the length, width, number, etc. of the elongated bodies used, it is possible to manufacture products with any desired width or breadth in either the vertical or horizontal directions.Furthermore, by combining elongated bodies of different colors, It is easy to obtain a rich color scheme. In addition, by adjusting the length, thickness, and wall thickness of the elongated bodies, the interval between the elongated bodies, and the interval between the upper and lower pressing rods when they are closest to each other, the distance between the elongated bodies, that is, the width of the gap, etc. We can manufacture a wide variety of products.
