An automatic exposure machine is known as an apparatus for obtaining printing plates for offset printing or letterpress printing by photolithography. This automatic exposure machine overlays the original film on the photosensitive layer of the plate material that is automatically conveyed to the exposure section, and exposes it in this state. For example, if the photosensitive layer is negative, the negative film is used as the original, and Light is selectively applied to only the photosensitive layer that overlaps the image area of the original, and that area is cured, and the area that is not exposed to light is eluted in a subsequent process. In this way, a printing plate having an image area and a non-image area is obtained.

However, even with conventional automatic exposure machines, overlaying the original film on the photosensitive layer of the printing plate was done manually, which was inefficient. Therefore, the present applicant proposed, in Japanese Patent Application No. 175,675/1983, a document film storage cassette which can automatically pull out a predetermined document film onto the printing plate.

Such a storage cassette has a holder that holds a plurality of original films spaced apart in the vertical direction near the exposure section. The original film is placed in the drawer position, and then the original film is pulled out to the exposure section using a finger device or the like, and the exposed original film is stored in the cassette again.

However, in the above-mentioned storage cassette, the original films are held in a hanging state, and the original films overlap each other. As a result, each original film gets stuck due to static electricity, moisture, etc., making it impossible to draw out and store the original film smoothly.Furthermore, it is difficult to distinguish between original film that has been exposed and original film that has not yet been exposed. There is a risk that the exposed original film may be used again for exposure, or that the original film that has not yet been exposed may be forgotten to be used.

In order to achieve this object, the original film storage cassette according to the present invention includes side plates arranged vertically and spaced apart from side to side, and hanger locking members attached to the inner surfaces of these side plates at equal intervals in the vertical direction. and,
The guide bar has a U-shape in plan view and extends between the side plates at approximately the same height or slightly below the hanger locking member and protrudes from the side opposite to the side where it is attached to the exposure section. A bar-shaped hanger that clamps the upper end of the film is stretched horizontally between the hanger locking members to hold a plurality of original films spaced apart in the vertical direction, and an unexposed original film is hung down through the guide bar. On the other hand, by hanging the exposed original film without passing through the guide bar,
The gist is that an unexposed original film and an exposed original film can be separated and hung.

In addition, the plate material transfer device 9 has moving members 17, 17 attached to a pair of guide rods 16, 16 extending in the left-right direction in the figure.
Vacuum pads 19 which are moved up and down by a cylinder unit 18 are attached to the plate, and its action is as follows: First, the vacuum pad 19 is lowered by the operation of the cylinder unit 18, and the upper surface of the plate material 7 from which the interleaving paper has been removed is adsorbed. And cylinder unit 1
8 is operated in the opposite direction to raise the vacuum pad 19 with the plate material 7 adsorbed, and then the motor 20
By driving the movable member 17 along the guide rod 16 to the right in the figure and facing the belt conveyor 21 of the conveying section 3, the suction state is released.
The plate material 7 transferred onto the belt conveyor 21 is conveyed to the exposure section 4, where it is overlapped with the original film pulled out from the original film storage cassette 6 and exposed.

Then, the chucking device in the exposure section 4 is operated to draw the lowermost original film 33 into the exposure section 4, and the original film 33 is conveyed into the exposure section 4 and placed on the plate material 7 positioned on the vacuum surface plate. 33 are superimposed and exposed from above. When a predetermined number of plates have been exposed by repeating the exposure operation, the chucking device is moved, the original film is returned to the storage cassette 6, and both ends of the bar-shaped hanger 34 holding the original film 33 are tightened again. Place it on the recess of the hanger locking member 32. In this case, the document film 33 is not hung on the guide bar 35 and is held hanging from the hanger locking member 32.

Next, exposure is performed using the second original film 33 from the bottom, but in this case, the operation piece 38
actuates the limit switch 37b on the second stage from the top, lowers the holder 25 until the drive circuit of the motor 30 is turned off, and aligns the document film 33 on the second stage from the bottom with the film extraction position. Thereafter, the original film 33 is drawn into the exposure section 4 in the same manner as described above, and after exposing a predetermined number of plates, the original film 33 is returned to the same position in the storage cassette 6. In this case as well, the returned original film 33 is held hanging vertically without being caught on the guide bar 35, as described above.

As explained above, according to the present invention, when holding a plurality of original films spaced apart in the vertical direction in the original film storage cassette, the cassette is provided with a guide bar that protrudes on the side opposite to the exposure section, and the guide bar The unexposed original film is hung on the cassette, and when the exposed original film is returned to the cassette, it does not hang on the guide bar. This prevents the original film from coming into close contact with each other and prevents the effects of static electricity, moisture, etc. In addition, since you can tell at a glance which original film has been exposed and which original film has not been exposed, you can ensure that only the required number of sheets are exposed, and it is also easier to replace the original film. It is also useful as a guide.
