The purpose of this invention is that one button attached to the cuff can be used for both single cuff and double cuff, and in this case, the button with the sleeve part reversed prevents tension in the button hole. It is an object of the present invention to provide a convertible cuff that can prevent this from occurring.

Conventionally, cufflinks have been known in which button holes are formed on both sides of the cufflink of a dress shirt, and buttons attached to the outside of the button holes are used for both single cufflinks and double cufflinks. The method for using these known cufflinks is as follows: When using them as single cufflinks, overlap the pieces of cloth that make up the cufflinks (meeting parts) twice, and overlap the button attached to the outer surface of the inner piece of cloth over this area. Lock it by engaging it with the button hole of the upper cloth.

When used as double cufflinks, attach the button along the button hole to the outer surface of the inner cloth piece (meeting part) that makes up the cufflink, then fold the button inward along the button hole, and then After turning the button in the opposite direction, insert the button into the button hole of the cloth piece on the opposite side and lock it.

However, in the case of the above-mentioned known configuration, the button attached to the cloth piece serving as the inner cuff piece was attached at a position slightly away from the periphery of the button hole, so the above-mentioned usage (i.e., the button is once folded back inward) is not possible. When this was done, one edge of the button hole was pulled inward, creating a so-called ``tightening'' phenomenon, resulting in an unsightly appearance.

The purpose of the present invention is to eliminate these drawbacks, and the purpose has been completely achieved by completing the invention described below.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. The dress shirt, generally designated by A, is a well-known shirt made of a suitable material. , 21' are formed with button holes 22, 22' at positions where they can be overlapped and placed together. Reference numeral 3 denotes a button attached to the inner surface of the meeting part 21 located on the inside. Half of the thread holes of the thread holes 31...31 are in the upper part of the meeting part 21, and the remaining half of the thread holes are in the button holes. 22, and then sewn in an overlock style using a single sewing thread 4 using an industrial sewing machine. To sew, for example, if there are four thread holes, pass the sewing thread 4 through one of the thread holes at the top of the meeting part 21, and then pass the sewing thread 4 through the corresponding thread hole at the top of the button hole 22.
Repeat this several times to sew half of the button 3.

When used as double cuffs In this case, the meeting part 21 located on the inside
If the button 3 attached to the inside of the cuff is inserted and engaged with the button hole 22' of the other meeting part 21' facing each other, the meeting parts 21 and 21' will come into contact with each other, forming a so-called double cuff configuration. be able to. (See Figure 2) When using as a single cuff In this case, first insert the button 3 attached to the inside of the inner meeting part 21 through the button hole 22 formed in the meeting part 21 and invert it to expose it to the front side. (See the enlarged view in Figure 3.) Next, after overlapping the meeting parts 21 and 21' so that their button holes 22 and 22' are parallel, the button 3 is inserted into the button hole on the opposite side (outer meeting part 21'). 22', it is possible to form a so-called single cuff in which the meeting parts 21 and 21' are overlapped. (See Fig. 3) As described above, the button 3 is located inside the meeting part 21 located inside of the two meeting parts 21, 21', especially at the periphery of the button hole 22 formed in the meeting part 21. Since the button 3 is sewn like an overlock stitch on the cuff, even if the button 3 is inserted into the button hole 22 and reversed in order to be used as a single cuff, "tightness" will occur at the periphery of the button hole like in a conventional shirt. It has the excellent feature that it does not cause unsightly appearance. In addition, according to the present invention, since the button 3 is installed in an effective location, it is easy to operate both single cuffs and double cuffs, and the user does not feel any operational inconvenience. It has the characteristic that it never happens.
