In the present invention, by arranging the cylinder in a direction substantially perpendicular to the handle and intersecting the handle, the positional relationships between the lever fixing part and the handle fixing part and the cylinder part and the handle fixing part become close, thereby solving the above-mentioned drawbacks. This will be explained in detail below using examples.

The master cylinder for a two-wheeled vehicle according to the present invention is constructed as follows. That is, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the main cylinder 1 is provided with a discharge port 8 on the front end side thereof that communicates with the wheel brake cylinder, and a pressure chamber is located at the rear of the discharge port 8. This pressure chamber is configured to communicate with the adjacent reservoir tank 3 through a supply port 10 and a relief port 10a formed on one side thereof. A piston 2 is housed on the rear side of the pressure chamber, which is constantly pressed in the non-operating direction by the bullet. A brake lever 6 (described later) is provided on the rear end surface of the piston 2 disposed in the opening of the cylinder 1 as described above.
The tip of the push rod 9 supported with a pin on the side is pressed against the piston 2 so that it can be pushed out.

In this case, when the handle holder 4 and the recess 1a at the bottom of the cylinder 1 are joined together, they form a perfect circle that can fit into the handle H, and both are arranged at right angles to the handle H. It is formed. In this case, the cylinder is positioned perpendicularly to the handle H and intersectingly above the handle H (in this embodiment, intersectingly above the handle H).

The upper and lower lever brackets 5 are vertically provided with spindle holes (not shown). The base end of the brake lever 6 is fitted into the intermediate space of the upper and lower lever brackets 5. A hole having the same diameter as the spindle hole of the lever bracket 5 is provided through this base end. An integrated support shaft 7 is loosely inserted vertically into this base end hole and the support shaft hole of the lever bracket 5, and the brake lever 6 is rotated in the horizontal direction using this support shaft 7 as a fulcrum. It is assembled in such a way that it is possible. A base portion of the above-mentioned push rod 9 is swingably connected to the surface portion of the base end side of the brake lever 6 near the support shaft 7 by means of a pin inserted therethrough. Brake lever 6 mentioned above
When operating, due to the pushing force of the push rod 9,
The piston 2 is interlocked with the cylinder 1 so that compression operation can be performed within the cylinder 1, and the cylinder 1 as a whole is constructed as a master cylinder for a two-wheeled vehicle.

When the cylinder 1 of the above embodiment is attached to the handle H of a two-wheeled vehicle, the handle holder 4 described above is removed from the bottom position of the cylinder 1, and the bottom recess 1a of the cylinder 1 is placed on the top surface of the handle H. Afterwards, the handle holder 4, which has been removed as described above, is brought into contact with the lower side of the handle H in the manner shown in FIG. By inserting the bolt 11 into the screw hole provided and tightening it, the master cylinder can be easily and securely mounted on the handle H of the two-wheeled vehicle in such a manner that the cylinder 1 is arranged at right angles to the handle H. can.

とができる。 In the master cylinder mounted on the handle H as described above, since the cylinder 1 is mounted at right angles to the handle H, the support shaft 7, which is the fulcrum of the brake lever 6, is different from that of the conventional master cylinder. In this manner, the handle H is placed as close as possible to the handle H. Therefore, this support shaft 7
The lever 6, which performs brake operation using the lever as a fulcrum, requires minimal bending moment during its operation.
This allows the brake to be operated smoothly and easily. In this case, due to the orthogonal arrangement of the cylinder 1, the lever fixing part (support shaft 7 related part), the handle fixing part (handle holder 4 related part), the cylinder part (cylinder 1 related part) and the handle fixing part (handle holder 4 related part) ) can be made closer to each other.

It can be carried out. In this case, since the cylinder 1 is arranged perpendicular to the axial direction of the handle H, the push rod 9
Since the push-out operation can be performed toward the axis of the piston 2, the piston 2, which operates in response to the push-out of the rod 9, can also operate concentrically with the rod 9, thereby reducing the degree of wear and tear on the push rod 9. can be drastically reduced. Note that the present invention can also be applied to a master cylinder for clutch control.

As explained above, in this invention, by arranging the cylinder in a direction substantially perpendicular to the handle and intersecting the handle, the position of the support shaft that serves as the lever fixing part can be brought significantly closer to the handle. As a result, the pressure deformation of the piston when operating a lever such as a brake or clutch is minimized, and the loss of force is drastically reduced, so that the brake or clutch operation is balanced and the cylinder rigidity is sufficient. By ensuring this, each main part can be formed using resin or other materials with low rigidity, which can significantly reduce the cost of the master cylinder, and furthermore, it will not interfere with the arrangement of peripheral equipment. This has the advantage of allowing cylinders to be placed without causing any damage. Furthermore, since the cylinder intersects with the handle, the overall length of the cylinder can be made relatively long, and the hydraulic pressure ratio can be improved.
