In this rotary heat exchanger, the casing is placed at the rear of the outer box so that its back side is closed by the back plate of the outer box, and the main plate of the fan introduces the exhaust air from the drying chamber into the casing. It is rotatably arranged so as to be divided into a chamber and an outside air introduction chamber. In order to seal between the exhaust gas introduction chamber and the outside air introduction chamber, the casing is provided with an annular portion that protrudes inward, and a bifurcated annular sealing member is attached to the main plate at the outer peripheral end of the fan. The seal members were attached so as to protrude outward in the radial direction, and these seal members were configured to slide into contact with both sides of the annular portion.

By the way, since the fan of this type of heat exchanger used in a dryer is quite thin and has a large diameter, the main plate thereof is relatively easily bent and deformed. Therefore, when the main plate is bent due to an impact force caused by a fall during cargo handling, the sealing member is strongly pressed against the annular portion, is bent into a tapered shape, and finally passes through the annular portion. In this case, the bifurcated seal members, which should originally be present on both sides of the annular portion, are both present on one side, a so-called disconnected state, resulting in a problem that the sealing performance is impaired.

An object of the present invention is to provide a dryer that can be easily put into practical use without increasing the number of parts and can prevent the bifurcated seal member from coming off the annular portion.

In the present invention, the sealing member is attached to the rear side of the outer peripheral end of the fan so as to be located at the rearmost part of the fan, and the sealing member is attached to the annular portion between the sealing member and the back surface of the casing. By setting the dimensions below a predetermined value so that the sealing member does not come off, the axial movement of the fan is restricted by the back surface of the casing, and the sealing member does not come off from the annular portion even in the event of a large impact. The sealing member is designed to absorb the impact when the fan collides with the back surface of the casing.

Here, in the heat exchanger 10, a seal structure between the exhaust gas introduction chamber 12 and the outside air introduction chamber 13 will be explained. That is, 26 is an annular partition plate as an annular part, which is screwed to the casing 11 so as to protrude inwardly, and a ring 27 made of, for example, stainless steel having a small coefficient of friction is fitted onto the inner peripheral part of the partition plate. It is fixed with adhesive 28. On the other hand, 29
and 30 are annular first and second sealing members made of a soft material, for example, felt, which are connected at the inner circumferential side via a spacer 31 so as to have a bifurcated cross section, which forms the outer circumferential end of the fan 16. Main plate 14
The main plate 14 is fixed to the outer peripheral end of the main plate 14 by adhesive or the like so as to protrude outward in the radial direction. In this case, the outer peripheral side of the main plate 14 is formed into a tapered shape toward the back plate 17 side, and a ring-shaped flange portion 14b is provided extending from the tip of this tapered portion 14a, and the seal members 29, 30 are attached to this tapered portion. It is fixed to the rear side of the flange 14b, that is, the surface on the back plate 17 side, thereby sealing the sealing member 2.
9, 30 In particular, the rear seal member 30 is attached to the fan 1.
It is positioned at the end of the 6. and,
The first and second seal members 29 and 30 are brought into sliding contact with both the front and rear sides of the ring 27 of the annular partition plate 26, thereby sealing between the exhaust gas introduction chamber 12 and the outside air introduction chamber 13.

Thus, as shown in FIG.
9 and 30 are in sliding contact with the ring 27 with the same contact pressure, that is, the spacer 3 between both seal members 29 and 30
1 exists at the same longitudinal position as the ring 27, the main plate 14 is deflected toward the back plate 17 in the gap G between the seal member 30 and the back plate 17 at the outer peripheral end of the fan 16. The dimensions are set such that the sealing member 29 can maintain sliding contact with the ring 27 without coming off.

When the drying operation is started, the motor 24 and the heater 25 are energized. This energization causes the motor 24
When the drum 6 is started, the drum 6 rotates, and the air inside the drum 6 is sucked into the exhaust introduction chamber 12 by the centrifugal blowing action caused by the rotation of the fan 16 consisting of the main plate 14 and the blades 15a and 15b, and the air is sucked into the drum through the duct 20. In the process of being returned to the outside air 6, the outside air is hot-aired by the heater 25, and is sucked into the outside air introduction chamber 13 through the suction port 22 and discharged outward through the discharge port 23. The air that has been hot-aired by the heater 25 and supplied into the drum 6 is dehydrated here and then sucked into the exhaust introduction chamber 12 again, where heat is transferred via the main plate 14 and the blades 15a and 15b. The air is cooled and dehumidified by exchanging heat with the outside air, and is then hot-aired again and supplied into the drum 6, thus circulating.

In such a dryer, a backward impact force as shown by arrow E in FIG. 2 acts on the fan 16 due to a falling accident during cargo handling, for example, and the main plate 14 moves from the state shown in FIG. 2 to the back plate 17 side. Suppose that it is bent and deformed. Then, the seal member 29 is strongly pressed against the ring 27 and is deformed into a tapered shape, so that the ring 27
try to pass through. However, when the main plate 14 bends and deforms to a certain extent, the sealing member 30 fixed to the outer peripheral end of the main plate 14 comes into contact with the back plate 17 as shown in FIG. blocked. At this time, the seal member 30
Since the initial distance G between the back plate 17 and the seal member 29 is set in advance to a dimension that allows the seal member 29 to maintain sliding contact with the ring 27, a situation where the seal member 29 actually comes off from the ring 27 does not occur. If the sealing member 29 passes through the ring 27 and moves to the opposite side, the problem will not occur. Since the impact when the seal member 30 comes into contact with the back plate 17 is absorbed by the cushioning effect of the seal member 30, there is no possibility that the main plate 14 or the back plate 17 of the fan 16 will be deformed. Note that when the main plate 14 is deflected to the opposite side to the back plate 17, that is, to the front side, the distance between the casing 11 and the wing pieces 15a is small due to the shape of the casing 11, so the wing pieces 15a are bent. The main plate 14 is immediately brought into contact with the casing 11 to prevent further deformation of the main plate 14, and the problem of the seal member 29 coming off from the ring 27 does not occur.

Moreover, since the distance between the casing 11 and the blade 15a is small, even if the blade 15a contacts the casing 11, the impact at that time is small.

As explained above, in the present invention, the sealing member is attached to the rear side of the outer peripheral end of the fan so as to be located at the rearmost part of the fan, and the gap between the sealing member and the back surface of the casing is By setting the dimensions below a predetermined value so that the seal member does not come off from the annular part, the axial movement of the fan is restricted by the back of the casing and the seal member does not come off from the annular part, without increasing the number of parts. In addition, if the fan collides with the back of the casing due to its axial movement, the impact can be absorbed by the sealing member, effectively preventing deformation of the fan or the back of the casing. This has excellent effects.
