Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve traceability and to suppress a stick-slip phenomenon by forming the width of a magnetic core on a first sliding plane having the magnetic core of a magnetic head in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction less than that of a second sliding plane at the opposite side of a groove in a center part. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head is provided with a pressure point in the center of the groove formed by being sandwiched between the first and second sliding planes brought into contact with a medium 6, and also, provided with the magnetic cores 3a and 3b on the first sliding plane. Here, the area of the first sliding plane is formed less than that of the second sliding plane. Therefore, it is possible to stabilize the contact state of the magnetic recording medium 6 with the magnetic head in a satisfactory state. ヘッドとの間に空間ができ易くなり、出力の低下、周波
数特性の劣化等、不安定になる傾向がある。
