株式会社製造のゾラコート(商品名)等が好適で
ある。粒状着色顔料の粒径は、50〜300μが好ま
しいが、この粒径以外のものでも使用し得ること
は勿論である。粒状着色顔料の添加量及び添加す
る色の種類は、意匠的効果を考慮して自由に決定
される。不透明の粉末顔料としては、クレイ、シ
リカ、酸化チタン、炭酸カルシウム等を使用す
る。この粉末顔料の添加量は、意匠的効果を考慮
して自由に決定する。即ち、粉末顔料の添加量が
少なくなれば、厚手模様層3の透明度が高くなり
それを通して基材1の下地着色層2及び厚手模様
層3内の粒状着色顔料が透視し易くなり、逆に粉
末顔料の添加量が多くなると、厚手模様層3の透
明度が低くなりそれを通して基材1の下地着色層
3及び厚手模様層3内の粒状着色顔料が透視しに
くく、又は全く透視出来なくなるので、このよう
な点を考慮して、粉末顔料の添加量を決定する。
厚手模様層3の原料塗料を下地着色層2の上面に
スクリーン印刷した後に、その上面に界面活性剤
水溶液等の消泡剤を塗布することが望ましい。こ
の消泡剤は、原料塗料の泡を消すと共に、原料塗
料内の粒状着色顔料を上面に露出させる作用を有
しているからである。

ラーに添加することなく、厚手模様層3の上面に
上塗塗料として直接塗布するようにしてもよい。
この場合シーラー層4は不要である。また、粒状
着色顔料をにじませることは必ずしも必要なもの
ではない。

3の上面に直接形成してもよい。この塗膜層6
は、粒状着色顔料と相俟つて化粧材の意匠的効果
を高めるものである。

粒状着色顔料を厚手模様層の上面に露出させるも
のであるから、粒状着色顔料が表面に鮮明に現れ
るとともに、上面に現われた粒状着色顔料と厚手
模様層の内部のそれとの視覚的変化により、変化
に富んだ化粧材を得ることが出来る。
