【考案の詳細な説明】 本考案は曲げ加工された鏡に関する。一般に用
いられている鏡はガラス製であり、曲げ加工は出
来ない。本考案は合成樹脂板の両面に金属板を接
合して成る複合材の表面にクロムメツキを施して
製作した鏡を、小さな曲率で曲げ加工してなる鏡
に関する。クロムメツキは硬くて伸び性がないの
で、複合材の表面にクロムメツキを施して製作し
た鏡をそのまま小さな曲率で曲げると、メツキ層
が割れてしまう。本考案では鏡の裏側に切欠溝を
設け、この部分を内側にして曲げ加工を施す。こ
れにより曲げ部の厚さが薄くなり、従つて曲げ加
工に際してメツキ層の伸びが小さくなり、メツキ
層の割れが防止される。切欠溝の幅や深さは複合
材の厚さおよび曲げの曲率に応じて決定すればよ
いが、厚さ2〜3mm程度の複合材であれば、溝幅
4〜20mmで、切欠溝の残存厚さが0.3〜1.0mm程度
となるようにすればよい。切欠溝はフライス盤、
ルーター等で容易に切削加工できる。曲げ加工は
折り曲げ機やプレスブレーキを用いて通常の金属
板の曲げ加工と同様にして行なうことができる。

実施例 1 厚さ1.5mmのポリエチレン板2の両面に厚さ
0.25mmのアルミニウム板3,3′を接合した厚さ

を行ない、さらにクロムメツキを行なつて鏡1と
した。この鏡面1の裏面3に幅4mm、深さ1.7mm
の切欠溝4をフライス盤で加工し、次いで折り曲
げ機により切欠溝4を内側にして90゜折り曲げ、
鏡面の曲げ半径2.5mmの曲げ加工された鏡を得た。
曲げ部分の鏡面に割れは発生しなかつた。折り曲
げ部の断面を第1図に示す。

びクロムメツキを行なつて得た鏡面1の裏面3
に、幅20mm、深さ1mmの切欠溝4および45゜の逃
げをルーターにより加工した。プレスブレーキを
用いて半径12mmのポンチおよびダイ幅70mmのダイ
で切欠溝4を内側にして曲げ加工を行ない、鏡面
の曲げ半径13mmの曲げ加工された鏡を得た。曲げ
部分の鏡面に割れは発生しなかつた。折り曲げ部
の断面を第2図に示す。
