Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the connection to be attained excellent in a sealing quality by turning a joint, comprising a thread part and a sleeve part, interposing a sealing material in external surfaces of a pipe in its connecting part, when the pipe, having helical irregularity, is connected. CONSTITUTION:In order to connect pipes 1, 2 having helical irregularity, a joint member 5, comprising a thread part 6 screwed to the pipes 1, 2 and sleeve parts 7, 8, is used. A sealing material 9 is interposed in the one sleeve part 7, and fitting the joint member 5 to an end part of the pipe 1 to be turned, the end part of the pipe 1 reaches the other sleeve part 8. Thereafter, a sealing material 10 is interposed in the sleeve part 8, and fitting the joint member 5 to an end part of the pipe 2 to be turned in an opposite side, the pipes 1, 2 are connected by the joint member 5. As the result, because the connection is attained by turning the joint member, the pipe can be easily connected. While connecting the pipe closely adhering by the sealing material enhancing water- tightness, even the possibility of leakage of water is eliminated.

In the former of the above conventional techniques, the sealing material and the rubber ring stick closely to the outer circumferential surface of the joint of the pipe body, increasing watertightness and preventing water leakage, but it requires many members to make the connection. However, in addition to being troublesome, there was a problem that the connection force was weak, such as the possibility that the tube could be pulled out when it was pulled.

In the latter case, the number of members required for connection is small and the connection is easy, but since a sealing material cannot be inserted, the sealing performance is lacking. The problem with real pipes is that they cannot be connected unless they are previously provided with spiral irregularities in opposite directions.

As shown in FIG. 1, the method for connecting corrugated pipes according to the present invention consists of two pipes 1. made of a flexible material such as synthetic resin and having a spiral concave portion 3 and a convex portion 4 in the circumferential direction. In this method, a joint body 5 is used to connect the chain pipes 1 and 2. The joint body 5 is made of a flexible material such as synthetic resin, and as shown in FIG. The threaded part 6 is screwed onto the outer periphery of the joint of the tube 1.2, and the sleeve part 7.8 can be fitted onto the outer surface of the tube 1.2. The lengths of the threaded part 6, sleeve parts 7 and 8 may be set as appropriate, but the length of the sleeve part 7 is the sum of half of the threaded part 6 and the sleeve part 8 (Lr =-!=-L-+
L3) is optimal, and sealing material is applied to the outer peripheral surface of the joint of one of the two pipes 1.2 to be connected or the inner peripheral surface of one sleeve portion 7 of the joint body 5. Interpose 9. As the sealing material 9, silicone resin,
Viscoelastic materials such as butyl rubber, rubber packing, etc. are suitable. Pipe 1 with this sealing material 9 interposed
The sleeve portion 7 of the joint body 5 is fitted into the joint end portion of the joint body 5, and the joint body 5 is rotated. Then, the threaded part 6 of the joint body 5
is screwed onto the outer peripheral surface of the joint part of the pipe 1, and as shown in FIG.
reach. That is, the joint body 5 is rotated until the joint end of the pipe 1 reaches the boundary between the threaded part 6 and the other sleeve part 8, and when that point is reached, the rotation of the joint body 5 is stopped. A sealing material 10 is interposed on the inner circumferential surface of the other sleeve portion 8 or the outer circumferential surface of the other pipe 2 to be connected. This sealing material 10 is made of the same material as the aforementioned sealing material 9, and both are interposed before the two pipes 1.2 are completely connected. Then, as shown in FIG. 4, the sleeve part 8 of the joint body 5 is fitted into the joint end of the pipe 2, and the joint end of the pipe 2 is butted against the joint end of the pipe l inside the joint body 5. let In this way, the joint ends of pipe 1 and pipe 2 will come into close contact with each other, leaving no gap between them. rotate in the direction. Due to this rotation, the threaded part 6 of the joint body 5 is screwed into the outer peripheral surface of the joint part of the pipe 2, and the joint body 5 is screwed into the joint part outer peripheral surface of the pipe 2.
side to the tube 2 side. The rotation of the joint body 5 is stopped when the approximately central portion of the threaded portion 6 of the joint body 5 reaches the abutting portion of the pipes 1 and 2. Then, as shown in Figure 1,
The threaded portion 6 of the joint body 5 is screwed across the outer peripheral surface of the joint portion of both tubes 1.2. Further, the sealing material 9 is applied between the outer peripheral surface of the joint of the pipe 1 and the inner peripheral surface of the sleeve portion 7 of the joint body 5, and the sealing material 10 is applied between the outer peripheral surface of the joint of the pipe 2 and the sleeve portion of the joint body 5. The tubes 1 and 2 are completely connected by being interposed between the tubes 8 and the inner circumferential surfaces of the tubes 8 and coming into close contact with them.

As described above, the method of the present invention uses a sealing material before connecting the pipes, and the connection is performed by rotating the joint body.
Pipes can be easily connected. In addition, since the ends of the connected pipes are in close contact with each other, fluid flows smoothly, and the pipes and the joint body are in close contact with the sealing material, increasing watertightness and eliminating the risk of water leakage. Since the threaded portion is screwed across the outer circumferential surface of the joint of both pipes, this method provides various effects as a method for connecting corrugated pipes, such as a strong connection and no possibility of the pipes being pulled out.
