Further, as a safety measure, when two different physical volumes are prepared and duplicated, it is common to use the normal one system for recovery in response to a failure in one system. In addition, there are areas that do not need to be recovered, such as the area dedicated to files (this area needs to be reinitialized, so there is no point in restoring it).

The number of volumes is large, making it difficult to adopt in small-scale data processing centers due to cost considerations.

Retrieves the names of all mini-volumes included in the volume and knows the recovery attributes. Then, the recovery management program 5 inputs the necessary program name for each mini-volume into the program management list 1 through the recovery program calling unit 13.
