However, when the core material is a synthetic resin molded product that is foam-molded in a mold, a relatively dense skin layer is formed on the surface of the core material that comes into contact with the mold, and this skin layer and thermosetting Because the adhesive strength with the thermosetting resin is weak, peeling is likely to occur, and if the outer skin layer is surface treated to increase the adhesive strength with the thermosetting resin, peeling will occur between the outer skin layer and the inner layer of the core material. It had drawbacks.

In order to eliminate this defect, the skin layer has been removed by sanding, but this method requires extra man-hours and has the disadvantage that the predetermined shape is damaged.

The present invention has been made with the aim of solving the above-mentioned conventional drawbacks and obtaining a core material without a skin layer.

1 and 2 are molds for molding that can be closed and opened, and a hollow fibrous covering made of glass fiber, cloth, etc., preformed to match the outer shape of the molded product is placed in the opened mold cavity. Material 3 is installed. A thermosetting resin layer 31 is formed on the inner surface of the fibrous covering material 3 by spray coating an unsaturated polyester resin to which a curing agent, accelerator, thickener, etc. are added. Next, the molds 1 and 2 are closed, and while the thermosetting resin layer 31 has not completed curing, unfoamed foam is poured into the space 4 surrounded by the thermosetting resin layer from a resin injection port (not shown). Polyurethane resin 5 is injected, and the foam is expanded to about 6 times the size and shaped.

According to the method of the present invention, a hollow fibrous covering material having a thermosetting resin layer formed on the inner surface is installed in the mold cavity of a mold, and while the thermosetting resin layer has not completed curing, An unfoamed foamable resin molding material is injected into the space surrounded by the thermosetting resin layer, and is foamed and shaped, so the surface has a relatively high density like a foam-molded core material. Since no skin layer is formed, when this material is used as a core material inserted into a thick part of a thermosetting resin molded product, it will not peel off from the thermosetting resin, and there will be no need to remove the extra skin layer. No man-hours are required, and the predetermined shape is not damaged by sanding.

Further, since the core material according to the present invention is entirely composed of the fibrous covering material, even if there is a fin-like thin part as shown in the illustrated example, it will not be damaged.
