The structure of the filter module of a hollow fiber filtration device is such that one or both ends of a bundle of hollow fibers are fixed with a resin, and one or both ends are left open to serve as a filtrate outlet hole. In order to prevent the hollow fibers from being damaged during handling, there is a structure in which a bundle of these hollow fibers is housed in a protective cylinder and integrated with it (Utility Model Application No. 61-15003). For backwashing of these hollow fiber filter modules, a method is often adopted in which the suspended solids deposited on the membrane surface are peeled off and removed by vibrating the hollow fibers with backwash air or scrubbing air. . In such a modular structure that is convenient for backwashing, the parts of the bundle of hollow fibers other than the fixed ends are in a state where they can move relatively easily in the lateral direction.
During operation, the hollow fibers may be displaced significantly in the lateral direction. As a result, the hollow fibers may be twisted and subjected to a large force, leading to breakage, which has been a cause of decreasing the durability of the hollow fiber filter module. This problem is particularly serious in a module of a hollow fiber filter with a cantilever structure and a protective tube, in which one end of the hollow fiber filter is open. In any case, it is necessary to prevent the hollow fibers from being broken as much as possible, and to avoid the broken hollow fibers from detaching from the module during operation and flowing into other systems.

To explain with reference to the drawings, the hollow fiber filter module 1 of the present invention is a hollow fiber filter module in which one or both ends of a bundle of hollow fibers are fixed and housed in a protective tube 4. As shown in Figures 8 to 8, a partition plate 5 is provided inside the protective cylinder 4 along the direction of the hollow fibers to divide the inside of the cylinder into a plurality of small chambers, and the hollow fiber bundle 2 is disassembled into each small chamber. It is characterized by being stored. The one shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is an example of the simplest structure, in which one end of a bundle of hollow fibers 2 is fixed with a synthetic resin 31, and the fixed end is used as an opening 3 to open the filtrate. A partition plate 5 is integrally molded inside a protective cylinder 4 made of, for example, plastic as a lead-out hole, and the inside of the cylinder is divided into two small chambers, in which a bundle of hollow fibers 2 is stored separately. Note that a vent hole 42 is provided in each of the small rooms. In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, a partition plate 5 having a cross-shaped cross section as shown in FIG. 4 is provided inside the protective tube 4 to divide it into four chambers. In the embodiments shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, and FIGS. 7 and 8, both ends of the bundle 2 of hollow fibers are tied together and fixed to a protective tube with a synthetic resin 31, and one of the fixed ends is Alternatively, in the case where both openings 3 are used as filtrate outlet holes, the hollow fibers are divided and housed in each of the small chambers divided into two or four chambers in the protective cylinder 4. Partition plate 5
shows an example in which it is molded integrally with the protection tube, but it may also be inserted later as a separate body.

The use of the hollow fiber filter module 1 of the present invention is the same as that of the conventional filter module, and backwashing when the filtration efficiency decreases is also performed in the same manner as the conventional filter module. During backwashing, backwashing air or scrubbing air
Hollow fibers vibrate and migrate. At this time, in the conventional filter module, tangles and kinks occur in the hollow fibers as shown in FIG. 9, and the hollow fibers eventually break. Also in the hollow fiber filter module 1 of the present invention, during backwashing, the hollow fiber bundles 2 are loosened by backwashing air or scrubbing air, and the hollow fibers vibrate and migrate. Since the fibers are divided and housed in small chambers, the range of migration is limited, and the number of hollow fibers in each chamber is small, so there is little chance of them becoming entangled or twisted with each other. This effect increases the number of partition plates 5 in the protective cylinder,
The smaller the compartment is, the higher it becomes. Therefore, although the illustrated examples are a two-part type and a four-part type, other types such as a three-part type and a six-part type are also available.
It may be selected appropriately depending on the size of the protective tube.

When backwashing was repeated 1000 times using a conventional hollow fiber filter module as shown in Figure 9, some of the hollow fibers were twisted as shown in the figure, and several hollow fibers were broken and fell outside the protective tube. It leaked out. In the hollow fiber filter module shown in Figures 3 and 4, which uses a protective tube divided into four chambers, the hollow fibers did not twist or break even after repeated backwashing 1000 times. . Effects of the Invention The hollow fiber filter module of the present invention reduces breakage of the hollow fibers, so it can be used for a long period of time without suffering deterioration in the quality of treated water. Therefore, the frequency of module replacement is reduced, and module costs and work costs associated with replacement can be reduced.
