To construct a water collection well, multiple arc-shaped concrete segments are used to form a cylinder, and the segments are assembled into a cylindrical shape, stacked one on top of the other, and the ends of adjacent segments are joined together. In some cases, it is assembled into a cylinder that is vertically long.

However, it is no exaggeration to say that the idea of draining water from the soil through water collection holes is impossible unless the water collection holes communicate with water veins.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, this idea provides a concrete segment with a water collection hole penetrating the inner and outer surfaces, fills the water collection hole with a water absorbing material, and also fills the inner surface of the concrete segment with water absorption material. The structure is such that the water-absorbing material filled in the water collection hole and the water-absorbing material stretched on the inner surface are brought into contact with each other.

When a water collection well is constructed using concrete segments, the surrounding soil and the water absorbing material filled in the water collection hole come into contact, and the water contained in the soil is absorbed by the water absorption material in the water collection hole by capillary action. The water-absorbing material of the water collection hole and the water-absorbing material on the inner circumferential surface connected thereto absorb water and become almost as hydrated as the surrounding soil, and some of the water sucked into the water-absorbing material on the inner circumferential surface evaporates. The remaining water flows downward as water droplets, ensuring that water from the soil can be extracted.

As shown in the figure, a concrete segment 1 used for constructing a water collection well is formed into an arc shape by dividing a cylinder into a plurality of parts, and connecting plates 3 are attached to recesses 2 provided at the top, bottom, and both ends of the inner surface. By connecting the plate portions with bolts and nuts, the segments adjacent above and below and at both ends are connected to each other.

The water absorbing materials 5 and 6 are, for example, felt, non-woven fabric, open-cell sponge, etc. The water absorbing material 5 in the water collecting hole 4 and the water absorbing material 6 stretched on the inner surface are connected to each other, and the water absorbing material 5 in the water collecting hole 4 and the water absorbing material 6 stretched on the inner surface The water sucked into the water-absorbing material 5 flows into the water-absorbing material 6 on the inner peripheral surface.

The concrete segments of this invention have the above-mentioned configuration, and as shown in Figure 3, the concrete segments 1 are connected in a ring shape in accordance with the excavation of vertical holes underground, and are successively added downward. As a result, a water collection well with a cylindrical peripheral wall made of concrete segments 1 is completed.

The water collection well has its inner peripheral surface covered with water absorbing material 6, and the four peripheral edges of each water absorbing material 6 are joined to the water absorbing material of the adjacent segment, and the water collecting hole 4 of each segment 1 is filled. The outer end of the water-absorbing material 5 is in contact with the surrounding soil of the water collection well.

Therefore, the water contained in the surrounding soil is attracted by the water absorbing material 5 in the water collecting hole 4 by capillary action, and the water in the water absorbing material 5 flows to the water absorbing material 6 on the inner peripheral surface.

That is, by sucking water, the water absorbing material 5 filled in the water collecting hole 4 becomes equal in water content ratio with the surrounding soil, and this water absorbing material 5 and the water absorbing material 6 on the inner circumference are conditionally equal to the surrounding soil. Since it is an extension of the soil, the water in the surrounding soil is reliably extracted into the water absorbing material 6 on the inner periphery, a part of which evaporates, and the rest becomes water droplets and flows to the bottom of the water collection well.

Note that a water-absorbing material may be embedded in the surrounding soil, and this water-absorbing material may be filled in the water-collecting hole 4 and connected to the water-absorbing material 5 to further improve water collection efficiency.

As mentioned above, this idea involves filling the water-absorbing material in the water-collecting holes provided in the concrete segment, placing the same water-absorbing material on the inner peripheral surface of the segment, and connecting both water-absorbing materials to each other. Water from the surrounding soil of a water collection well constructed using segments can be extracted into the well using both water-absorbing materials. Moreover, both water-absorbing materials are an extension of the same conditions as the surrounding soil, and can extract water from the surrounding soil. It has the effect of being able to be extracted reliably and effectively improving the soil.
