書きする空気力浮上形ヘツドに生じうる異常を検
出するための装置であつて、デイスクの周方向の
所定位置および範囲内にヘツドが移動可能な全径
方向範囲に亘つてトラツクと無関係に一様に書き
込まれた単純な繰り返えしパターンからなる監視
情報と、デイスクの回転に同期してこの監視情報
をヘツドを介して読み取り、その読取信号の値が
あらかじめ設定された正常範囲を逸脱したときに
ヘツド異常と判定するヘツド異常検出手段とを備
えてなり、デイスクが回転状態にある限りヘツド
異常検出手段を常時動作させてヘツドの浮上状態
の異常を検出しうるようにしたことを特徴とする
