めの軒樋継手に関するものである。

体1の内周面と内押さえ板3の外周面との間に形
成される挿入間隙6内に軒樋5の端部を挿入嵌合
させることによつて、一対の軒樋5の端部を継手
本体1内に固定して接続をおこなうようにするの
である。そしてこのものでは継手本体1と内押さ
え板3との間に挿入間隙6を形成させるために内
押さえ板3に嵌合突条4を突設し、内押さえ板3
と継手本体1のと固定強度を向上させるために嵌
合突条4を嵌合溝2に嵌合させるようにしている
のである。しかしこのように形成される軒樋継手
にあつて問題となるのは、内押さえ板3は嵌合突
条4によつて線接触に近い状態で継手本体1に支
持されていて、傾きが生じやすいことである。す
なわち挿入間隙6の開口幅は軒樋5の挿入嵌合強
度を高めるために軒樋5の厚みとほぼ等しく設定
されているが、第5図aに示されるような挿入間
隙6,6に軒樋5,5の端部を挿入して接続する
際に、一方の挿入間隙6内に一方の軒樋5の端部
を挿入させると、第5図bのように一方の挿入間
隙6は軒樋5によつて幅が広げられるように作用
を受け、この結果内押さえ板3は嵌合突条4を中
心にして傾き、他方の挿入間隙6は開口幅が狭ま
るようになつてしまう。従つてこの他方の挿入間
隙6への軒樋5の挿入作業が著しく困難になつて
しまうのである。

条4が外面側へ断面半円形に突出するように設け
てある。嵌合突条4の突出寸法は嵌合溝2の深さ
寸法よりも大きく設定されるものであり、また内
押さえ板3の一方の端部にはフツク状の係合片7
が延出してある。そして嵌合溝2に嵌合突条4を
嵌合させて継手本体1内に内押さえ板3は配設さ
れるが、このとき内押さえ板3の一方の端部にお
いて第3図aのように嵌合突条4を嵌合溝2内に
嵌合させた状態でリベツト14のかしめやビス止
めなどでで固着される。内押さえ板3の他方の端
部においてはリベツト14などによる固着はなさ
れず、第3図bのように継手本体1の嵌合溝2に
嵌合突条4を嵌合させていない状態にある。従つ
て内押さえ板3の弾性変形力によつて内押さえ板
3のこの他方の端部においては、嵌合突条4を嵌
合溝2に深浅自在に嵌合させることができること
になる。

うにして一対の軒樋5を各挿入間隙6,6内に挿
入させたのち、継手本体1の被係合片8に内押さ
え板3の係合片7を第2図bのように係合させる
ことによつて、嵌合溝2内に深く嵌合突条4を嵌
合させるように内押さえ板3を継手本体1に引き
寄せると、第2図bや第3図cのように挿入間隙
6はその開口幅が全長に亘つて等しくなり、軒樋
5の端部がこの挿入間隙6内において挟着されて
保持される。

入間隙の開口幅が軒樋によつて押し広げられるよ
うなことを防止することができて内押さえ板に傾
きが生じることを防止でき、他方の挿入間隙の開
口幅が狭くなつて軒樋の挿入操作が困難になるよ
うなことがないものである。
