Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition which has an improved releasability from a metal mold and readily disintegrates in water by using as the constituents a granular anionic surface active agent and a CMC powder hardly soluble in water and having a specified particle size. CONSTITUTION:5 to 50wt.% granular anionic surface active agent (A) (e.g. potassium 14 to 18C alpha-olefinsulfonate) is mixed with 1 to 30wt.% CMC powder hardly soluble in water and having such a particle size that the fraction passing through a 200-mesh sieve accounts for at least 80%, and if necessary, a builder, a viscosity modifier, an enzyme, a softening agent, further with a bleaching agent, a fluorescent agent, a perfume, a coloring matter, etc. A tablet having a diameter of 20 to 60mm, a thickness of 5 to 20mm, and a weight of 5 to 60g is formed from this mixture by a tablet molding process.
