2. Description of the Related Art It has been known in the art to alternately arrange radiating elements and phase conversion elements in communication whip antennas in order to increase the gain. In other words, such a conventional high-gain whip antenna has a radiating element and a phase conversion element connected alternately, and these connections are mechanically and accurately made, and the phase conversion element is as shown in Fig. 1. As shown in , the wire of the radiating element 10 is formed as a coiled part 11 on its extension, or a coil wound around another insulating bobbin is used and this is connected to the radiating element 10. However, in any case, the portion of the phase conversion element 11 becomes enlarged in the shape of a lump, and therefore, it is necessary to form a protective exterior over the portion. In other words, in such conventional high-gain antennas, the phase conversion element part always has a considerably larger diameter than the radiating element part, and since the whole must be electrically connected accurately, it is difficult to achieve mechanical stability. As is well known, it is mainly made of straight rod-shaped wires or bars formed with various connections, and even if it is a relatively thin wire, it is heavy, and there is a When the phase conversion element 11 as described above is installed in a vehicle, there is a large vibration. In addition, when such a device is installed in a vehicle such as the one described above and used outdoors, it is necessary to provide corrosion protection against adhering moisture.
It is necessary to take careful anti-corrosion measures for the parts. As mentioned above, there is a high possibility that the lump-shaped large portion will get caught on other objects, so there is a high risk of damage, and it is also not aesthetically pleasing.

The present invention has been devised to improve the disadvantages and shortcomings of the conventional ones as described above. The specific embodiments of the present invention are explained with reference to the attached drawings. As shown in FIG. 5, a radiation element part 8 and a phase conversion element part 9 are formed as conductor parts on a flat printed circuit board 1 by printing or attached with foil pieces, and the printed circuit board 1 is insulated with synthetic resin or the like. The cap 3 and the bottom mounting bracket 4 are fitted into the openings 2a formed at the top and bottom of the cylinder 2, and the fitting parts 3b and 4b formed in a step shape are fitted. Holding grooves 3a and 4a are respectively formed to insert and hold both ends of the printed circuit board 1, and the bottom mounting bracket 4 also serves as a power supply means for the conductor parts 8 and 9 as described above, and is connected to transmitting and receiving equipment as appropriate. and a threaded rod part 1 for fixing to the mounting base 17 as appropriate.
4 is formed as shown in FIG. 3 or 4, and a metallic support tube 7 is also used as shown in FIG. The lower end of the support tube 7 is fitted into the opening 2a of the cylinder 2, and a matching device 5 is formed at the lower end of the printed circuit board 1, and a cable 6 is connected to this portion to connect with a transmitting/receiving device. Regarding the formation of the radiation element part 8 and the phase conversion element part 9 on one surface of the printed circuit board described above, it is clear that they may be formed continuously over both sides as shown in FIG. It can be one-sided.

According to the present invention as described above, an advantageous whip antenna with a high gain can be obtained by a lightweight structure using the printed circuit board 1, and since it is covered with an insulating cylinder, a sufficient It forms a waterproof relationship, and the outer periphery is flat and smooth, which not only improves the appearance of the antenna, but also prevents it from getting caught on other objects when used in vehicles, and has low air resistance. Therefore, it has the effect of producing a high-gain whip antenna at a relatively low cost and is mass-produced, and is a highly effective idea in practical terms.
