Abstract

PURPOSE:To inform that the hot water injected from a shower head is in a proper temp. state by visual sensation effect by energizing a light source part by a control means on the basis of the detected temp. of a water temp. detector detecting the temp. of supplied water. CONSTITUTION:A light source 10 is provided to a light guide 7 and light is transmitted to a light diffusing lens 9 through a color filter 11. When the light 12 of the light source 10 is applied to a water stream 13 from the light diffusing lens 9, the water stream 13 is illuminated by the light 12 colored by the color filter 11. A comparator 17 compares the divided voltage Ve of a water temp. detector 6 and a resistor 18 with comparing reference voltage VS1 to energize a transistor 18 and the light source 10 is driven by the transistor 18. A comparator 19 compares Ve with the second comparing reference voltage VS2 to energize a transistor 20 which in turn controls the base signal of the transistor 18. By setting temp. allowing the light source 10 to light to the use temp. region of a shower, in a state reaching the use temp. region, the shower water stream is illuminated.

2. Description of the Related Art Traditionally, this type of shower equipment installed in bathrooms etc. has a configuration in which a suitable temperature is ejected from a shower head via a mixing faucet that mixes hot water and cold water, and others have a configuration in which a suitable temperature is ejected from a shower head via a mixing faucet that mixes hot water with water, and others have a configuration in which hot water is discharged at an appropriate temperature from an instantaneous hot water heater.
Generally, the shower head sprays a suitable temperature at a certain temperature. For example, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 18458/1983, the temperature of water sprayed from the shower head is displayed numerically on the shower head body. It is designed to display the appropriate temperature status.

In other words, although it is possible to accurately determine the temperature of the hot water that is ejected from the shower head, it is difficult to identify the hot water in the bathroom due to the steam that accumulates in the shower. However, it took time and effort to hold the shower head body in hand and visually check the temperature display.
