Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of information and to shorten the processing time on a monitor request by providing a directivity antenna able to retrieve to which internal zone a mobile equipment resides in small zone areas and sending an electric field monitor request only to a radio base station in a small zone area adjacent to the internal zone in which the mobile equipment is resident. CONSTITUTION:When a mobile equipment M is resident in a location as shown in figure and the electric field level is deteriorated, a radio base station A uses a directivity antenna to retrieve in which zone among internal zones 1-6 in a small zone area (a) being a system of the radio base station A the mobile equipment resides. When it is discriminated that the mobile equipment M resides in the internal zone 6 as a result, the radio base station A informs the result to a radio line controller X. Then the radio line controller X gives a monitor request of an electric field level to radio base stations B, C of small zone areas b, closest to the mobile equipment M. Thus, the radio line controller X gives the electric field monitor request only to the radio base stations B, C of the small zone areas b, c, then the quantity of information is reduced and the processing time is shortened.

Generally, in a mobile communication system such as a mobile phone with a service area configured in a small zone area, communication is secured while monitoring the electric field level of the mobile device. Conventionally, in such electric field monitoring, when the electric field level of a mobile device deteriorates, an electric field monitoring request is issued to all wireless base stations in small zone areas surrounding the small zone area where the mobile device is present.

The conventional electric field monitoring method described above issues an electric field monitoring request to all wireless base stations in the surrounding small zone area when the electric field of a mobile device deteriorates, so the amount of information at this time is large (and the processing time is low). There is a problem in that this increases the burden on the monitoring method.

In the electric field monitoring system of the present invention, each wireless base station is equipped with a directional antenna that can divide each small zone area into a plurality of internal zones and search which internal zone a mobile device is in. When the electric field level of a mobile device deteriorates, the mobile device is configured to issue an electric field monitoring request only to the wireless base station in the small zone area adjacent to the internal zone where the mobile device is present.

In such a zone configuration, if the mobile station M is at the location shown in Figure 1 and the electric field level has deteriorated, the wireless base station A uses a directional antenna to locate the area within the small zone area a consisting of the wireless base station A. Find out which of the internal zones 1 to 6 you are in. As a result, when it is determined that the mobile station M is present in the internal zone 6, the radio base station A notifies the radio network controller X of the result. Then, the radio line controller
A request to monitor the electric field level is sent to wireless base stations B and C of c.

Therefore, in this case, the radio line control device Compared to issuing an electric field monitoring request, the number of requests can be significantly reduced, the processing time can be shortened, and the efficiency of the monitoring method can be improved.

As explained above, the present invention provides a directional antenna capable of searching in which internal zone within a small zone area a mobile device is located, and a wireless base station in a small zone area adjacent to the internal zone where the mobile device is present. Since the electric field monitoring request is issued only to the station, the amount of information required for this monitoring request is reduced.
Moreover, the processing time can be shortened and the efficiency of the electric field monitoring method can be improved.
