配ゲート部の構造が割合に複雑なため、コピー紙
の有無確認やその取外し作業に手間取る場合が多
い。又、コピー紙の搬送路内にはベルトやロー
ラ、案内板等があり、指先を挿入すると指先を傷
付ける等の危険もある。以上の如き欠点を解決す
るために例えば、実公昭49−25843号が知られて
いる。前記装置は丁合作業を行うコレーターであ
るがコレーターに事故等が発生しても必要部分を
分解せずに修理を可能となすように搬送部分の一
部を開くように構成されている。このような装置
は保守点検や、修理には好都合であるが、例え
ば、シートが搬送中、不良搬送されシートを取出
す必要が生じた場合には、搬送ベルトと給送する
ためのローラ類が一体で開放されるため、シート
が搬送部に挟まれており取去ることができない欠
点がある。又特開昭51−1058286号もシートの不
良給送時(ジヤム)には内部より取出す手段が開
示されている。この装置はシート区分装置の一部
を開放可能とすべくシート区分装置の下部に設け
たヒンジにより上部より開放されるが、一般に上
部を開放した場合搬送部の一部に停止しているシ
ートが下方に落下し、下部のシート搬送部に進入
して、シートを取去るのに困難をきたし更に指先
を傷付ける危険もある。この場合更に大きく開放
すればよいが、装置の設置場所によつては壁又は
他の事務機器に突当り、開放が不可能で、ジヤム
処理が極めて困難になる欠点がある。又下部にヒ
ンジを設けた場合、開放位置に強固なストツパー
手段が必要となり、開放動作にも注意しなければ
ならない欠点もある。
