Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency of the picture information by securing such a constitution where each transmission subject controls dispersedly the transmission of the picture information and a broadcasting station deals with only the change of the type of the broadcast picture information when plural transmitters transmit the picture information by means of the broad cast of plural receivers. CONSTITUTION:The catalog transmission subject 1a-1n receive the catalog transmission requests from the picture information reception system 3A-3M of the households included in a receptable area of a TV broadcasting station 2 via a public telephone network 4. Thus the subjects 1a-1n transmit the broadcast picture ID lists forming a relevant catalog in each busy mode. Then the reception pictures are selected at the reception side based on the ID list even if the entry/secession of receivers occur frequently together with the change of the transmission contents. As a result, each of subjects 1a-1n can dispersedly control the transmission of the picture information. Then a broadcasting station is required just to deal with only addition/change of types of broadcast picture information. Thus an effective picture information transmission method is obtained.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a method for transmitting images from multiple senders to multiple recipients. [Prior Art] Conventionally, as a method of transmitting image information to a plurality of specific recipients, there has been a method of transmitting image information with recipient addresses attached. For example, as shown in Figure 2, a broadcasting station adds a destination address to each image it broadcasts (as many destination addresses as there are destinations). The receiver was supposed to extract and record only the image with his or her address attached from the broadcast content. Therefore, between the cost per bit transmission of broadcasting B, the cost per bit transmission of individual communication T, and the number of duplications n of transmitting the same information redundantly, B < n T
...If the relationship (1) exists, the transmission method using address-added broadcasting would be advantageous in terms of cost. [Itlllm to be Solved by the Invention] In the above-mentioned conventional technology, there are multiple image information transmitting entities, new subscribers/withdrawals of new receivers, and changes in transmission contents occur frequently, and each transmitting entity handles these in a distributed manner. Broadcasting stations do not take into account the cases in which addresses should be managed in accordance with the broadcasting content, and the broadcasting station does not take into account the cases in which addresses should be managed when a receiver newly joins, the address is canceled in the reverse case, and the address part of the broadcast content is There is a problem in that it is necessary to perform complicated processing such as accepting change notifications and dynamically changing broadcast content based on the change notifications.

An object of the present invention is to transmit image information to multiple receivers at a low cost by using broadcasting, even when new receivers join or withdraw, and the content of the transmission changes frequently. An object of the present invention is to provide an efficient method for transmitting image information, in which each transmitter can manage the transmission of image information in a distributed manner, and the broadcast station only needs to respond to changes in the type of broadcast image information.

In order to achieve the above purpose, each sender sends the image information to be transmitted to the broadcasting station, the broadcasting station temporally connects the above image information and prepares it on a storage medium, and the broadcasting station sends the image information from each sender. The sender sends back to each sender the location information of where the received image information is located in the series of image information on the storage medium, and the sender sends a list of the locations of the images that the receiver should receive in the broadcast content. The broadcasting station broadcasts a series of image information on the storage medium by determining the list of image information to be sent to each recipient and the returned position information, and transmitting it to the recipient through the telephone network.
Based on the transmitted image position information, the receiver selects only the image information to be received from the contents of the broadcast and stores it in the image storage medium.

(Operation) Figure 2 shows the principle of the present invention using the transmission of catalogs as an example. A sender sends four types of catalogs aS, ..., Ca to seven households hx, ..., hy. As shown in (C), each catalog consists of a combination of three pieces of image information ■, ■, ■.The sender sends a message to the household hz, as shown in (b) of the same figure. We are trying to send a catalog of Ql to household h2, a catalog of c2 to household h2, and so on.

In this way, once all the images constituting the request catalog have been stored in the image storage device 7 (discarding the other broadcast contents), the users of each image information receiving system 3 can use the image display device 8 at any time. You can view the contents of the requirements catalog with . [Effects of the Invention] According to the present invention, when a plurality of senders transmit image information to a plurality of receivers at low cost using broadcasting, new additions and withdrawals of the receivers and changes in the transmission contents are not required. Even if this occurs frequently, the image information ID is sent to the receiving side via the telephone network, etc., and the receiving side selects the received image, so each broadcasting entity can manage the transmission of image information in a decentralized manner, and the broadcasting station can control the transmission of image information. It is possible to provide an overall efficient image information transmitting method that only needs to deal with adding and changing the type of image information and does not require address management of destinations or management of transmission contents to individual destinations.
