【特許請求の範囲】 1 行の先頭に句読点や閉じカツコ等の行頭禁則文字が
入力された時には、その行頭禁則文字を直前の行末の禁
則領域へ移動して文字データ記憶部に格納する禁則処理
手段を有する文字入力装置において、 行の先頭に行頭禁則文字が2文字連続して入力された時
に、その2文字をいずれも半角文字に変換する半角変換
手段を設け、 その半角に変換した2文字共前記禁則処理手段によつて
前記文字データ記憶部における直前の行末の禁則領域に
格納させるようにしたことを特徴とする文字入力装置。 2 請求項1記載の文字入力装置において、行の先頭に
行頭禁則文字が2文字を越えて連続して入力された時に
、直前の行中に全角の句読点やカツコ等の約物が存在す
るか否かを判定する約物判定手段と、 該手段によつて判定された約物を2文字を越えて入力さ
れた行頭禁則文字の数だけ前記半角変換手段によつて半
角に変換して該行中の文字列を行頭側へ詰めて行末にス
ペースを作成する行末スペース作成手段とを設け、 前記連続して入力された行頭禁則文字の全てを前記半角
変換手段によつて半角文字に変換して、前記禁則処理手
段によつて前記文字データ記憶部における直前の行末に
作成されたスペース及び禁則領域に格納させるようにし
たことを特徴とする文字入力装置。
