材や天井材として用いられる石膏ボードや合板等
の建築板材を、軽量形鋼等の鋼製下地材に取付け
るのに好適なセルフドリリングねじに関するもの
である。

状溝部とが形成されると共に、前記頭部の首下部
分に形成されたテーパー面上には複数の座ぐり用
突起が設けられていることを要旨とするセルフド
リリングねじである。

するラス紙8の捲れやささくれ等の発生を防止す
る。また、前記の座ぐり用突起9によつて最終締
付の直前にテーパー面4bに接する石膏7を切削
し、各座ぐり用突起間に空間部分10aを有する
態様で円状の座ぐり穴10が形成される。この座
ぐり用突起9による切削は、ドリルねじ1のねじ
込みトルクを減少させると共に、形成された座ぐ
り穴10は首下部分の収まりを良好にし、且つ空
間部分10a内には石膏7やラス紙8の屑が収納
され、頭部4の表面側へ突出片8aが食み出され
ることを前記環状突起5aおよび環状溝5bと協
働して防止させるものである。

結部材を切削することによつて、ねじ込みトルク
が減少し且つ座面の収まりが良好になると共に、
石膏やラス紙等の屑を各座ぐり用突起間に形成さ
れた空間部分に収容し、前記環状突起および環状
溝部と協働して表面側への食み出しを防止する。
