〔産業上の利用分野〕
本発明は記録材上に未定着画像を定着させる定着装置に

〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
ところで、軸芯2の外周に発泡シリコンゴム.スポンジ
等の弾性体1を被覆成形する際に、加圧口−ラの両端部
の外径にふくらみ1aが生じるが、従来はこのふくらみ
1aが圧縮変形するのに伴なう歪を吸収することができ
なかった。そのため、記録材のエッジ部が前記外径のふ
くらみ1aに強く接触し、加圧ローラの削れ、コーティ
ング部の削れによる浮遊トナー付着等の問題が生じ、さ
らにはニップ(NIP)巾が軸方向両端部で大きくなる
なめ、記録材にシワが発生するという欠点がある.
本発明の目的は前記課題を解決した定着装置を畏供する
ことにある.
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
前記目的を達成するため、本発明に係る定着装7置にお
いては、熱源を備えた加熱ローラと、軸芯及び該軸芯の
外周に被覆成形した弾性体から梢成された加圧ローラと
を有し、前記弾性体の軸方向両端部に、圧縮変形による
歪を吸収する逃げを設けたものである.
〔実施例〕
