Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently perform chemical conversion treatment in a miniaturized device by overflowing the chemical conversion treating liquid from a chemical conversion treatment tank and allowing the overflowed liquid to flow through the intervals of a plurality of straightening plates to separate sludge and thereafter discharging the liquid toward the bottom wall in the treatment tank. CONSTITUTION:Zinc phosphate-based chemical conversion treating liquid housed in a chemical conversion treatment tank 1 is overflowed into an overflow tank 2. Therein the treating liquid is allowed to flow through the intervals of a plurality of straightening plates 3 and stagnated for about 1 to 10 minutes. Thereby sludge large in sp.gr. incorporated in the treating liquid is efficiently settled and separated. The clarified treating liquid obtained thereby is passed through a heat exchanger 5 equipped with a heater 9 via a circulation pump 4 to perform temp. control and thereafter returned to the treatment tank 1. In this case, this treating liquid is led to the bottom part of the treatment tank 1 via a circulation pipe 6 and a riser pipe 7 and then discharged toward the bottom wall of the tank from a plurality of discharge ports 8 provided near thereto. Thereby the treating liquid is uniformly and excellently agitated and efficiency of chemical conversion treatment is enhanced. Further sludge is prevented from being deposited herein.

In this case, there is a problem in that if the volume of the thickener is reduced, the sludge removal efficiency decreases and sufficient sludge removal cannot be performed. Furthermore, in conventional treatment equipment, when returning clear chemical conversion treatment liquid from which sludge has been removed using a thickener to the treatment tank, the liquid is discharged upward from the bottom of the tank, which prevents sludge from settling at the bottom of the tank. It also has the problem of being easy to use.

Here, the volume of the overflow tank is 1/1/1 of the processing tank.
It is preferable to set it to 1 to 1/3, especially about 1/2 from the viewpoint of sludge removal efficiency and miniaturization of the entire device. Also,
The current plate allows the chemical conversion treatment liquid to flow in the overflow tank from 1 to 10
It is preferable to install the current plate in such a number that it stays there for about a minute and sufficiently removes sludge, and furthermore, it is preferable from the point of view of maintenance such as cleaning that the current plate is removable.

By having the above configuration, the chemical conversion treatment apparatus of the present invention has the following features:
The chemical conversion solution containing sludge that overflows from the treatment tank is directly received in an overflow tank connected to the treatment tank, and as it flows between the rectifying plates in the overflow tank, the sludge with a large specific gravity is efficiently settled and clarified. The chemical conversion treatment liquid and the sludge can be separated well, and by returning this clear chemical conversion treatment liquid to the treatment tank with a circulation pump, the chemical conversion treatment liquid in the treatment tank can be kept clear at all times.

Further, one end of a third pipe 17 having a third valve 16 interposed therein is connected to the lower side wall of the overflow tank 2, and the other end of the third pipe 17 is connected to the first valve 11 of the first pipe 14. and the filtration pump 12. When chemical conversion treatment is performed using the above-mentioned chemical conversion treatment equipment, the object to be treated is immersed in a treatment liquid containing a chemical conversion treatment agent such as phosphate in the treatment tank 1, and the chemical conversion treatment is performed. The chemical conversion treatment liquid in the treatment tank 1 overflows and flows into the overflow tank 2, and when the chemical conversion treatment liquid that has flowed into the overflow tank 2 flows between the rectifier plates 3, the sludge in the chemical conversion treatment liquid settles. According to the chemical conversion treatment apparatus described above, the overflow tank 2 is provided in series with the treatment tank 1, and the chemical conversion treatment liquid is allowed to overflow into the overflow tank 2, and the chemical conversion treatment is carried out between the rectifier plates 3 disposed in the overflow tank 2. The structure is designed to remove sludge from the chemical conversion treatment liquid as the treatment liquid flows, and the overflow tank also serves as a thickener.
There is no need to provide a separate thickener, so the area occupied by the entire device can be reduced. Also, since the processing liquid is transferred from the processing tank 1 to the overflow tank 2, which also serves as a thickener, by overflow, the heat of the processing liquid can be reduced. The chemical conversion liquid from which sludge has been removed in the overflow tank 2 is discharged toward the bottom wall of the processing tank 1 from the discharge port 8 of the riser pipe 7, so sludge is deposited on the bottom wall of the processing tank. The discharge flow provides uniform and good agitation, and as a result, uniform chemical conversion treatment can be performed without causing uneven chemical conversion.
Without leaving sludge in the treatment tank 1 on the bottom wall, etc.
Furthermore, in this example, the processing liquid can be taken out from the processing tank 1 by operation of the filtration pump 12, filtered by the filter 10, and then returned to the processing tank 1, which is very advantageous. Therefore, maintenance such as tank cleaning is very easy.

In fact, when we configured and operated a chemical conversion tank similar to the drawing, we found that it was only necessary to clean the filter 10 once a week and the overflow tank 2 once every two months, which significantly reduced maintenance time. It was done. Further, in this case, since the rectifying plate 3 in the overflow tank 2 is removable, the overflow tank 4 can be easily cleaned. Moreover, in the chemical conversion treatment apparatus of this example, the sediment containing a large amount of sludge is introduced from the overflow tank 2 into the displacement tank 20, where the chemical conversion treatment liquid is recovered, and passed through the filtration pump 12 and the filter 10 to the treatment tank 1. Since the sludge is returned, the loss of the chemical conversion liquid due to sludge removal can be minimized.

There is no need to provide a separate thickener, so the entire device can be downsized without reducing the volume of the treatment tank or thickener (overflow tank), and the chemical conversion treatment liquid can be introduced into the thickener (overflow tank). Since it uses an overflow type, there is little heat loss in the processing liquid.

In addition, by discharging the clear chemical conversion treatment liquid from which sludge has been removed from the outlet of the riser pipe placed at the bottom of the treatment tank toward the bottom wall, the treatment liquid is returned to the treatment tank.
Since the treatment liquid in the treatment tank is stirred by the discharge flow, sludge does not settle at the bottom of the treatment tank, and uniform and good agitation is performed, resulting in almost all the sludge remaining in the treatment tank. It is possible to send the treated material to the overflow tank without any trouble, and it is also possible to perform a uniform chemical conversion treatment on the treated material.
