Abstract

PURPOSE:To lessen stain of paper by enabling a stylus to bear long time service by a method wherein the title recorder is so constructed that useless ink is flied by a means which applies voltage selectively according to information between a surface of a dot and an electrode to be absorbed and the ink corresponding to the information is transferred to the paper. CONSTITUTION:Needle like electrodes as a stylus 6 opposed to a dot are arranged in one line in a generating line direction of a conductive rotary drum 1. When needless ink is flied, and is adsorbed to be recovered by applying voltage selectively according to information, ink corresponding to the information remains on a dot arranged rotary material. Though the ink corresponding to this information is transferred to a bottom surface of paper later, the ink left by imperfect fly is collected in a bottom part of a depressed surface by influence of gravity. Therefore, paper is not stained more in that case than in the case where transferred to an upper surface. Further, the ink flying to the stylus part is recovered at the lower part by gravity to be prevented from solidifying to the stylus 6, and the stylus can bear long time service.

As a prior art related to the present invention, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-2462
There is a publication No. 55. The invention described in JP-A No. 63-246255 is an improved method of attaching magnetic ink to a magnetized multi-stylus, forming bumps, and causing electrostatic force to be applied to the magnetic ink by opposing electrodes to cause it to fly. , the ink is pulled by an electrode to form ink dots on the roller surface due to the difference in wettability, and the ink is drawn onto the paper by a roller.
It forms the However, in this printer, since two pieces of paper are inserted between the ink and the stylus, a variable voltage is required, and there is a risk that the accuracy of the printer will be lost, and unused ink must be scraped off.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides means for bringing into contact a rotating body having a surface of hydrophilic dots arranged at a constant pitch along a generatrix line with ink corresponding to the dots, and means for bringing into contact a rotating body having a surface of hydrophilic dots arranged at a constant pitch along the generatrix line of the rotating body. A stylus is placed facing each dot, and a means for selectively applying a voltage between the dot surface and the electrode according to the information causes unnecessary ink to fly and be absorbed, and ink corresponding to the information to be absorbed. The ink is left on the surface of the rotating body, and the ink is transferred to paper at a later stage. Hereinafter, the present invention will be explained based on examples.

By arranging styli 6 (acicular electrodes) facing the dots in the - row in the generatrix direction of the conductive rotating drum 1, and selectively applying a voltage according to the information, unnecessary ink can be blown away. When the ink is collected by suction, ink corresponding to the information remains on the dot arrangement rotating body.

In a recording device that uses ink, ink is uniformly applied in the form of an array of concave dots corresponding to a rotating conductor, or at this time, the ink swells up on the dots by making the dots hydrophilic and the other parts water repellent. It sticks like that.

The 4th @ is a diagram showing the state of transfer, 13 is the residual ink,
14 is ink to be transferred. The residual ink 13 is ink that remains after being incompletely ejected, and is not transferred to the recording paper because it accumulates in the recesses. In the latter stage, ink corresponding to this information is transferred to the bottom surface of the paper, but at this time, the ink that remains due to incomplete flying will accumulate at the bottom of the concave surface due to the influence of gravity, so it will be easier to transfer the paper than if it were transferred to the top surface. It doesn't get dirty.

If the conductive rotating drum has hydrophilic recesses in the areas corresponding to the dots and water repellent areas in the non-dot areas, the ink spots corresponding to the dots can be created by utilizing the surface tension of the ink just by contact with the rotating ink. The ink is applied by simply passing over the top surface for height-controlled ink.

Stylus and electrostatic ink collection is disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 63-246.
In the technique described in Japanese Patent No. 255, ink corresponding to information is ejected by electric discharge from a stylus to print on intermediate paper, but in the present invention, unnecessary ink is ejected, and the information is printed on an intermediate piece of paper between the stylus and the ink. There's nothing there, so keep it close.

Transfer transfers ink corresponding to the information left behind to the underside of the paper. The particles that are not sufficiently blown will accumulate at the bottom of the recess, and will not reach the paper, thereby reducing the amount of dirt.
