Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce curved pottery with a photograph easily reproduced a minute image by laminating pigments on the surface of planar pottery, firing the pigments at a low temp. to reproduce a photographic image, softening the pottery at a temp. close to the tiring temp. and deforming the pottery. CONSTITUTION:At least yellow, cyan and magenta or typical red pigments are laminated on the surface of planer pottery 1 and fired at a low temp. to form a color image. The pottery is then softened at a temp. close to the firing temp. and deformed to an arbitrary curved shape to obtain curved pottery 1 with a photograph 2. The minute color image can be curvedly reproduced and the photograph does not discolor or burn and is not damaged even when wetted by water.

[Prior Art] In recent years, photographs have been attached to the surfaces of ceramics as decorations or special photographs. There are two methods for attaching photographs to the surface of ceramics: one is to directly reproduce the photograph on the surface of the ceramic (direct method), the other is to prepare a block of photographs and transfer print it to reproduce it on the surface of the ceramic (indirect method). Of these, it is preferable to adopt the direct method in order to reproduce images without impairing the precision of the photograph.

[Problems to be solved] However, in the direct method, a film is attached to the surface of ceramics, the film is developed, pigments are sequentially applied according to the image that appears, and the film is fired to reproduce a photographic image. Therefore, it was applicable only to ceramic surfaces or flat plates, and not to ceramic surfaces or curved surfaces.

However, painting on curved ceramics can only be done by methods that require a great deal of effort, such as using a brush, screen printing, or the indirect method using transfer paper as described above. The problem was that it was difficult to reproduce precise images.

[Means for solving the problem] In order to achieve the above object, curved photographic ceramics have a structure in which pigments are layered on the surface of curved ceramics to form a photographic image, and this is particularly useful when reproducing color images. The structure uses yellow, cyan, magenta, or special red pigments to form a color photographic image.

In addition, the manufacturing method for curved photographic P4 porcelain is to reproduce a photographic image by layering pigments on the surface of flat ceramics and firing them at a temperature lower than the normal firing temperature (600 to 800°C), and then photographically firing them. The ceramic is softened at a temperature close to 800 to 1000 DEG C., and then the ceramic is transformed into an arbitrary curved shape to produce a curved photographic ceramic window.

In the figure, 1 is the ceramic (substrate) that forms the product, and is made of ceramic containing crystallized glass and calcium phosphate.
A material that softens and becomes deformable at 800 to 1000° C. is used, such as NX. 2 is the photographic department, which reproduces photographic images by developing a film sealed on ceramics and applying pigments corresponding to the image that appears. In this case, if the photograph is a monochrome image, a black pigment is used, and if the photograph is a color image, yellow, cyan, magenta or/and special red pigments are used. .

Note that when reproducing a color image, it is preferable to use a special color red pigment for red reproduction, because the special color red vividly reproduces crimson. However, since the special red pigment easily reacts with pigments of other colors and also easily volatizes, when laminating them, it is necessary to form transparent glass layers on the top and bottom surfaces. In addition, it is preferable to form the special red pigment layer on top of the yellow pigment layer. In this way, even if the special red and yellow pigments react, the hiding power of the special red will be strengthened. As a result, the vividness of the special red color is not lost.

The method of forming the photographic part 2 by laminating pigments (transparent glass if necessary) and firing includes a method of laminating each pigment and cross-fertilization by firing, and a method of laminating two or three layers of pigments and then firing them.
There are methods such as repeating this several times, and firing after all the pigments have been layered.

If the temperature for softening the ceramics is too high, it will cause the pigments to decompose and the colors in the photograph will disappear, and if it is too low, the durability of tr4I4 will deteriorate, so to avoid these problems, Decide as appropriate depending on the material. Therefore, the above-mentioned softening temperature for softening ceramics is −

This curved surface deformation can also be carried out immediately after the photographic ceramic is softened. That is, by softening a flat plate-shaped photographic ceramic in the form fg placed on a mold lO, it is possible to gradually deform it as the softening progresses. Therefore, in the present invention, the phrase "softening the ceramic and then deforming the ceramic into an arbitrary curved shape" includes the case where the softening and transformation of the ceramic are performed almost simultaneously.

It is also possible to deform the ceramic by providing pores on the surface of the mold 10 and applying suction through the pores at an appropriate vacuum pressure. In this way, the ceramic can be reliably deformed in a short period of time.
