The present invention relates to a protective material for covering the corners of a plate-shaped object, for example, a sheet metal part such as a vehicle bonnet. The transportation process is essential in the process of processing sheet metal parts such as vehicle bonnets into products.
In order to prevent the sheet metal parts from being damaged during this transportation, the entire sheet metal parts or easily damaged corners are conventionally protected with cardboard, urethane foam, styrene foam, or the like. However, bonnets, etc. are large and heavy, and cardboard, etc., are weaker in strength than sheet metal parts, so they cannot sufficiently protect sheet metal parts from vibration or falling during transportation, and conventional Protective materials are often discarded after being used once, resulting in a noticeable waste of material, and furthermore, it is troublesome to attach and detach them from sheet metal parts. The present invention was created to improve the problems of the conventional protective materials mentioned above, and its purpose is to:
It can sufficiently protect plate-shaped objects such as sheet metal parts, and
To provide a protective material that is easy to install and remove and can be used repeatedly. In order to achieve this purpose, the present invention has a top wall and a bottom wall of a protective material made of rubber or the like having a substantially triangular plane, two of the three sides of the protective material being closed with side walls, and the remaining The side surface is opened to allow a part of the plate-like body to enter the internal space of the protective material, and further a small space is formed on the inner surface of the side wall between the corner of the plate-like body and the side wall. In addition to providing a guide stopper in a protruding manner, a stress relief hole communicating with the small space is provided in a portion of the top wall and the bottom wall, and the hole is formed in an L-shape along the side wall. This is the summary. Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Fig. 1 is a partially cutaway slope view of the protective material according to the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a side view in the direction A of Fig. 1. It has a substantially triangular shape when viewed from the bottom, and two of the three sides existing between the top wall 2 and the bottom wall 3 are closed by the side walls 4 and 5, and the remaining side is an opening 6.
It is said that Thus, a space S is formed inside the protective material 1 into which a part of a plate-shaped object to be described later enters. In addition, guide stoppers 7 and 8 are provided inwardly on the inner surfaces of the side walls 4 and 5 near the opening 6.
is installed protrudingly. The guide stoppers 7, 8 are approximately half as long as the side walls 4, 5, and are provided with a slight gap between them and the top wall 2 and bottom wall 3. On the other hand, an escape hole 9 for water droplets is formed in the portion where the side walls 4 and 5 overlap, and the top wall 2 and bottom wall 3
Holes 10 and 11 are drilled through the holes 10 and 11 for stress relief. These holes 10 and 11 are located on the oblique side of the top wall 2 or the bottom wall 3 (when the opening 6 is the bottom side)
Two straight parts 10a, 10a, 11a,
11a is continuous near the top, forming an L-shape. By the way, the protective material 1 is integrally molded from a sulfur-free vulcanized rubber material. An example of specific component ratios is shown in the table below.

[Table] As shown in the above [Table], the protective material 1 according to the present invention does not use sulfur as a vulcanizing agent, but uses Balnok R and Thulum-based vulcanizing agents, so the sulfur (S) in the rubber is wrapped in Balnok R or Thulum-based vulcanizing agent and does not come out on the rubber surface. Therefore, even if the iron-based plate is protected by the protective material 1, the sulfur (S) in the protective material 1 reacts with the plate to produce iron sulfide (FeS, Fe 2 S 3 ). There's nothing to do. FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the state of use, and FIG. 4 is a partially enlarged cutaway view of the state of use, in which the protective members 1 are attached to the four corners of the bonnet 12 as a plate-shaped body.
That is, the corner 12a of the bonnet 12 is guided by the guide stops 7, 8 of the protective member 1 and enters the space S, and both sides of the corner 12a are guided by the guide stops 7, 8 of the protective member 1.
8, the tip of the corner 12a is separated from the inner surface of the protective material 1, and a small space S1 is formed between the corner 12a and the side surfaces 4 and 5. Furthermore, even if the external force F acts in Fig. 4,
The protective material 1 is recessed into the small space S1, and the deformation thereof is absorbed by the L-shaped stress relief holes 10 and 11, so that the corner 12a of the bonnet 12 is protected. As explained above, the protective material according to the present invention has excellent buffering force as a protective material, so that the plate-like object is not damaged during transportation, and the protective material itself has elasticity. Therefore, it is less likely to be damaged. In addition, it is possible to provide sufficient protection by attaching only the four corners of the plate-shaped body, and the protective material does not touch the entire corner of the plate-shaped body with the protective material, so that the most vulnerable parts such as the tips of the corners are covered with the protective material. Since it is possible to float and hold the plate-like body within the plate-like body, it is possible to protect the plate-like body more effectively. Furthermore, if the protective material is made of a rubber material obtained by sulfur-free vulcanization, sulfur (S) will not be released on the surface of the protective material even when used as a protective material for an iron-based plate. Since the sulfur (S) in the protective material and the iron (Fe) in the plate-like material do not react to produce iron sulfide, the contact area between the plate-like material and the protective material However, it exhibits many effects such as being able to effectively prevent corrosion.
