Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain communication with an external communication terminal equipment through the use of a signal transmission line of the system by using a terminal adaptor provided with a terminal feeding section, a tone generating section, a terminal state detection control section, a communication control section and a line exchange section. CONSTITUTION:The same electric condition and signal condition is given to a terminal feeding section 27 when a communication terminal equipment connects directly to a communication line not through an adaptor 2. When an incoming from an external equipment 6 is detected by a communication network terminator 4 and informed to a communication control section 22 of the adaptor 2, a tone generating section 25 generates a tone by a tone signal generating circuit 25b when a terminal equipment 3 is able to be sent to an external terminal equipment and generates a call signal at a call signal generating circuit 25a of the internal communication terminal equipment 3. A terminal state detection section 24 detects the closing/opening of a channel with a current of the terminal feeding section 27. A communication control section 22 applies command communication between a communication network terminator 4 and a main set 5 via a transmission/reception circuit 22a. A line exchange section 23 receives power from the feeding section 27 even when the communication terminal equipment 3 cannot receive power (opening of line exchange section 23) from the external communication network 8. The information is communicated even at a terminal equipment without any communication set specific to the system by the adaptor.

Next, the terminal adapter sends a "1 channel request" command to the MBC through command communication via the control channel, and acquires the right to use the information channel to be used as a communication path within the system (r channel use permission J). Then N
A request is made to T to make a call to the public telephone network ("Call request 1"), and the right to use the public telephone line to which NT is connected is obtained (r line can be captured). Next, instruct the public telephone line to be connected to the information channel for which the license was previously obtained (
"Information channel connection" and "Information channel connection possible 1)
This establishes a communication path for the telephone to the public telephone network. After that, you dial the other party's phone number from your telephone, and depending on the other party's response, you enter into a conversation state. At that time, the terminal adapter uses an on-hook detection circuit to detect that the current supplied from the public telephone network and flowing through the communication path is cut off by lowering the phone's hook (on-hook). When on-hook is detected, it notifies the MBC and NT that the use of the information channel and the public telephone line is terminated ("line use end 1 and r channel use end"), and the exchange circuit separates the information channel and the communication path and switches the communication path switch to B. side and perform off-hook detection. It also instructs NT to cut off information channels and public telephone lines (r
Opening of information channels J).
