Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain antimicrobial nonwoven fabrics of high safety inexpensively by admixing antimicrobial zeolite into the spaces between fibers constituting the nonwoven fabrics. CONSTITUTION:Fine particles of an antimicrobial zeolite, an inorganic compound, are admixed into the spaces between the fibers constituting the nonwoven fabrics to give the objective antimicrobially durative nonwoven fabrics which prohibit the proliferation of bacteria, dermatophyte or the like. The fabrics is suitable for diapers and sheets which are used as they directly contact with living bodies.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, antibacterial cloth using antibacterial zeolite has been woven by mixing threads made of synthetic resin with antibacterial zeolite mixed with threads of other fibers. - On the other hand, in order to impart antibacterial properties to nonwoven fabrics, methods have been used such as impregnating nonwoven fabrics with water-soluble antibacterial agents or coating them with organic antibacterial agents that are not highly safe. However, nonwoven fabrics are often used as disposable sanitary parts, such as disposable diapers and sheets, in direct contact with living organisms. It was necessary to give it a certain gender.
