If you place the tape in a position where it will come into contact with the mounting screw when the tape is attached to the switch, the surface of the tape will have unevenness, so this switch will be pressed or not pressed, and it will be converted into an on/off electrical signal. This allows devices to identify each other based on this signal. (Specifications as claimed) Embodiment 2 FIGS. 2 and 3 are diagrams showing Embodiment 2.

If the detection coil 26 is fixed to the part of the side where this screw hits, then when the tape is attached and the two sides are brought close to each other, the degree of influence on the detection coil will be different, and if the degree of this change is detected and processed. It is possible to obtain surface information signals that can be identified by devices.

The two-circuit operation consists of a detection coil 2. As part of the tank circuit for oscillation, the oscillating section 3° is operated to oscillate. This oscillation wave is transmitted to the next rectifying section 4. The voltage is converted into a DC voltage proportional to the magnitude of oscillation and drives the voltage switch 5 at the next stage. This voltage switch section is configured to perform an opening/closing operation (turn on) when a voltage of a certain level or higher is input to generate a surface information signal. Through this series of operations, the first stage oscillator 3
.. If the oscillation is sufficient, the switch at the final stage is turned on. Now detection coil 2. When the screw part a-3 of the tape A side is brought close to the switch part 5. is off. When the B side is brought closer, the detection coil 2. The effect on switch section 5. is small and has almost no effect on oscillation. is turned on. This allows it to be converted into an on/off electrical signal. (Specification of claim 2 [Effect of the invention J) By adding this device to a cassette device, the device can obtain tape surface information even with existing tapes without any modification or special operation. Based on this information, devices can send messages to the operator, perform various automatic controls, and increase functionality.
