Abstract

PURPOSE:To express a pattern, hue or qualitative feeling imparting a natural feeling near to a natural material by applying paint having a hue different from that of a base layer composed of a mixture of aqueous paint and oily paint to the surface of a bottom coat layer by a brush to form a pattern layer. CONSTITUTION:As a base material, a sheet or plate-shaped plywood 1 is selected and lacquer-putty coating 3 and lacquer-surfacer coating 4 are applied to the ground surface 2 of the base material as substrate treatment and water-soluble acrylic resin paint is applied to the whole of the ground surface 2 to form a bottom coat layer 5. Next, paint prepared by mixing aqueous paint and oily paint different in physical properties and having a hue different from that of the bottom coat layer 5 is applied to the arbitrary part of the surface of the bottom coat layer 5 by a brush to form a pattern layer 6. Herein, the paints do not immediately become compatible with each other and mixed with each other in a settled state and a hue or qualitative feeling is naturally brought about by both paints. Further, transparent paint is applied to the entire surfaces of the bottom coat layer 5 and pattern layer 6 to form a surface layer 7.

BACKGROUND ART Decorative materials for interior decoration that exhibit the color tones and textures of various natural materials have been known for some time. Most of these decorative materials are printed on the surface of the base material to give it the color tone and texture of natural materials.

However, conventional decorative materials, in which patterns, colors, and textures similar to natural materials are printed on the surface of the base material, cannot express the natural patterns, colors, and textures that natural materials have, and they tend to be It was easy to be treated as a "mock" or "alternative product."

The inventor noticed that printed patterns, tones, and textures are too accurate and emphasize their artificiality, and based on various experiments, it was possible to reproduce the tones and textures that naturally occur between paints on the surface of the substrate. This invention was made based on the knowledge that the intended decorative material could be obtained if the composition was expressed as shown in the following.

Specifically, in this invention, first, a sheet or plate-like material made of wood, metal, resin, paper, etc. is selected as the base material, and the surface of the base material is subjected to surface treatment, and then the entire surface of the base material is coated. A water-based paint is applied to form an undercoat layer, and a pattern layer is further formed by brush-coating a paint that is a mixture of water-based paint and oil-based paint and has a different color tone from the base layer on any part of the surface of the undercoat layer, Furthermore, a transparent paint was applied over the entire surface of the undercoat layer and pattern layer to form a surface layer.

As the base material for the decorative material, any material such as wood, metal, resin, paper, etc. can be selected, and a sheet or plate-like material is selected and the surface of the base material is first subjected to a base treatment. This base treatment is expected to flatten the base surface and improve the adhesion of various paints formed on it.As a base treatment, lacquer putty and surfacer coating are used for wood-based base materials. Next, a water-based paint is applied over the entire surface of the substrate to form an undercoat layer. The formation of this undercoat layer is also a preparatory process for creating the next pattern layer, and a paint with a color tone and texture that matches the intended atmosphere of the natural material is selected and applied evenly over the surface of the base material. The use of paint is preferred.

Furthermore, a pattern layer is formed by brush-coating a paint mixture of a water-based paint and an oil-based paint, which has a different color tone from that of the undercoat layer, on any part of the surface of the undercoat layer.

In addition to using a mixture of water-based and oil-based paints with different physical properties, we also adopted brush painting, so the paints do not blend into each other immediately in the areas painted with the brush, that is, in the pattern shape applied with the brush. When the paints are in a calm state, the colors and textures that are naturally produced by the mixed paints can be expressed on the surface of the base material in a pattern shape that has changed considerably even within the range of the above-mentioned areas. At this time, by applying the brush multiple times, it is possible to express the shading freely.

Furthermore, a transparent paint is applied over the entire surface of the undercoat layer and pattern layer to form a surface layer. This surface layer is a so-called finishing layer and serves to protect the pattern layer. A polyurethane resin paint is preferably used as the transparent paint.
