であつた。 In general, semi-automatic arc welding torches of this type include a first actuator and other controls for generating a first output signal, e.g. for starting and stopping the arc, e.g. for actuating the welding wire feed or A second operating tool for generating a second output signal involved in changing the welding setting conditions, etc. may be attached to the main body of the welding torch. Conventionally, a welding torch shown in FIG. 1, for example, has been proposed as this type of torch. In other words, when the operator grasps the grip of the welding torch, there are two torch switch triggers 4 and 4 within the range that can be operated with one fingertip.
5 was arranged on the torch body 1. By the way, 2
As mentioned above, each torch switch is used to perform separate control, but if the intervals are narrow enough that it can be operated with one finger, it is possible to accidentally activate an undesired torch switch during welding work. This is not preferable in terms of welding work. In order to prevent erroneous operation, it may be possible to place a display board near each trigger position of the welding torch to indicate the purpose of each trigger, but in general, during welding work, there is a display board to protect your eyes from the welding arc. Since a light-shielding surface is used for this purpose, there was a problem in that it was not possible to check the display board indicating the trigger's purpose while monitoring the welding area. Furthermore, since semi-automatic welding torches are operated by an operator by grasping the grip of the welding torch, the balance of the welding torch is of paramount importance. Therefore, partially enlarging the body of the welding torch is undesirable because it leads to the welding torch losing its balance, and the size of the torch body is restricted to a certain size regardless of the structure of the welding torch. Therefore, it is difficult to assemble the welding torch because there is almost no space available to arrange the two torch switches close together so that the triggers of the two torch switches can be operated with one fingertip. was difficult. Further, the positions of the triggers 4 and 5, which are arranged to perform separate controls, are specified in consideration of operability. For example, in Figure 1,
Considering that the majority of workers in Japan are right-handed, the trigger 4, which is frequently used, is placed on the right side. However, this welding torch is not suitable for left-handed workers.
In the end, two types of welding torches must be manufactured, one for right-handed users and one for left-handed users. By the way, since the triggers 4 and 5 are usually of the same type, it is troublesome to perform so-called product management to check whether the triggers 4 and 5 are correctly connected for right-handed and left-handed use.

Appropriate connecting members 3 such as gas hoses and control cables are attached. 4 and 5 are first and second torch switches, for example, the first torch switch 4 is operated by operating a first operating tool 6, for example a trigger, disposed on the pistol-shaped torch body 1. generates an output signal. The second torch switch 5 also generates a second output signal by operating a second operating tool 7, for example a lever. In the illustrated case, a suitable arrangement of the operating tools is shown when the operator is right-handed. That is, when an operator grasps the grip part 101 of the pistol-shaped torch main body 1, the first operating tool 6 is disposed at a position approximately equivalent to the index finger, and the second operating tool 7 is disposed at a position approximately equivalent to the thumb. has been done. In the illustrated case, the second torch switch 5 is detachably supported by, for example, tightening bands 8, 8 on the pistol-shaped torch body 1. Therefore, if a commercially available semi-automatic arc welding torch can be used and the operator is left-handed, the second torch switch 5 can be moved to the position shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. Able to perform work.
First and second operating tools 6, 7 of the welding torch
The first and second output signals generated by appropriately operating the arc start and stop the arc, operate the welding wire feed, change the welding setting conditions, operate the shield gas feed, etc. as appropriate. Welding is performed while

In this way, the torch switch 5 can be reliably attached to a predetermined position. Of course, depending on the handedness of the operator, the torch switch 5 may be placed in the recess 10.

虞れはない。 FIG. 6 shows still another embodiment of the present invention, in which a second torch switch 5 is housed in a predetermined position inside the pistol-shaped torch body 1, and the second
The second operating tool 7 for generating an output signal from the torch switch 5 is a pistol-shaped torch main body 1.
It protrudes to the outside through a hole 104 bored in the hole 104 . Incidentally, the pistol-shaped torch main body 1 is provided with a perforation hole 105 at a position substantially opposite to the left and right sides.
When this hole 105 is not used, it is covered with a lid 9. Of course, the second one should be adjusted according to the worker's dominant hand.
When replacing the torch switch 5 to the position shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. In this way, there is no risk of damaging the torch switch by causing other objects to come into contact with it.

Furthermore, when a proximity switch is used as a torch switch, the operating tool can be configured to operate directly on the detection surface of the detection head that detects the approach of an object, or indirectly, such as by using a lever that moves near or far from the detection surface. can. Of course, the present invention can also be applied to semi-automatic arc welding torches using non-consumable electrodes.

夫々別個に準備する必要がない。 As described above, according to the present invention, at least one of the first and second elements for generating separate output signals is replaceably disposed at approximately opposite positions of the torch body, and the operator can use the It is placed on the pistol-shaped torch body so that when gripping the torch body, the worker's thumb or index finger will be in a position that is approximately equivalent to the worker's thumb, so the three fingers other than the thumb and index finger and the palm of the hand will While firmly grasping the pistol-shaped torch body, each operating tool can be operated freely with the thumb and forefinger, making welding work easier. Since they are separated, the operating tool and the torch switch can be easily assembled even if the welding torch has a pistol-shaped torch main body of a size that takes into account the balance of the welding torch. Of course, there is no need to separately prepare right-handed and left-handed welding torches, as is the case in the past.
