Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve air tightness and to prevent the deformation of a main body by housing plural magnetic disk media and plural magnetic heads in the main body of a container and forming the cross section of a sheet material to be U-shaped when the container is sealed by a cover with a rubber-shaped sheet in between. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk medium 1 is rotated at high speed in a state that the medium 1 floats on the surface of a magnetic head 2. A space to house a lot of the magnetic disk media 1 and magnetic heads 2 is formed by a cover 3 and a main body 5 with a ring-shaped rubber seal 4 in between. The cross section of a ring in the seal 4 is formed to be U-shaped with roundness in a free state. However, in order to assemble this magnetic disk device, the seal 4 and a stopper 7 are put on the main body 5 and the main body 5 is covered with the cover 3. Then, a screw 6 is fastened until it is abutted to the cover 3 or stopper 7 and stopped.
