Abstract

PURPOSE:To rationalize an operating system by transferring a revised telephone number of one party to the other party after the end of connection between a central equipment and each terminal set and writing the revised telephone number to a telephone number storage section of the opposite party. CONSTITUTION:A revised telephone number Nc is entered manually by a central equipment side. A connection command by a telephone call is given to a terminal set and the waiting state is reached. The connection is given to the terminal set and the notice representing it is given to the central device to cause the waiting state. The central equipment confirms the connection, the revised telephone number Nc is transferred and the waiting state is reached. The revised telephone number Nc is recorded in the terminal set and after the notice representing it is given to the central equipment side and the processing of the telephone line OFF is taken and the operation is finished.

The conventional method will be explained with reference to the configuration diagram of a general signal transmission system shown in FIG. In Figure 3, A
is the central device, Bi is the terminal device (i=1-n), E is the telephone exchange, and L is the telephone line. Connected to the terminal device Bi are various sensors related to disaster detection and crime detection, various measuring instruments related to electricity, gas, water, etc., and various operating devices. In this signal transmission system, signals of various data or information collected on the terminal device Bi side are transferred to the central device A via the telephone exchange E, and control signals are transmitted from the central device A side to the telephone exchange E. The signal is transmitted to a related operating device connected to the terminal device Bi via the terminal device Bi, and is driven. By the way, the configuration of a conventional terminal device will be explained with reference to FIG. Figure 1 shows a conventional terminal device and

Further, 4 is a MODEM (modulation/demodulation unit), and 5 is an NCU (network control unit). The input/output section 1 is provided with a sensor signal input terminal 1a and a control signal output terminal 1b, and the NCU 3 is provided with a telephone line connection terminal 5a. Now, in the telephone number storage section 3, the telephone number of the central device A is manually set in a semi-fixed manner, and this setting is often made when installing the terminal device Bi and assembling a system. The number will be used as is unless the telephone number of central device A is changed. Note that when calling the central device A from the old terminal device, the telephone number of the central device A stored in the telephone number storage section 3 is sent by the control section 2 to the NCU 3 via MODEM, and
a, and a predetermined dialing operation is performed.

The need to change the telephone number of a central unit occurs relatively frequently for reasons discussed below. The reasons for changing the telephone number of the central equipment are: ■ Relocating the central equipment to a location with a different telephone number, ■ Preventing backers and prank calls, and ■ If multiple central equipment are prepared, each with its own telephone number. □ etc., and one of the central units is selected depending on the system operation. When making this change, in the conventional method, the telephone number must be manually rewritten in the telephone number storage section 3 of the terminal device Bi, which is troublesome and time consuming. Moreover, since the number of terminal devices that need to be rewritten has recently been rapidly increasing, the troublesome and time-consuming process becomes a problem. As explained above, an object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems of the conventional technology, and to change the telephone number of either one of the central device and each of the plurality of terminal devices. The purpose is to provide a method of notifying the other party of a changed phone number automatically and quickly.

An example of application of the changed telephone number notification method according to the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. The terminal device used in the method of the invention will be explained with reference to FIG. FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a terminal device, the basic contents of which have already been explained in the conventional method. What should be noted here is that the telephone number storage section 3 is a rewritable memory and is backed up by a battery as a measure against power outages. The operation when the method of the invention is applied will be explained with reference to the flowchart of FIG. In FIG. 2, the flow on the left side relates to the central device side, and the flow on the right side relates to the terminal device side. In step S1, the changed telephone number Nc is manually input as an operation on the central device side. In step S2, a "connection command" is issued to the terminal device by making a telephone call, followed by "standby" in step S3.
become a state. On the terminal device side, "connection" is performed in step S4, a notification to that effect is sent to the central device side, and then the terminal device enters a "standby" state in step S5. On the central device side, "connection confirmation" is performed in step S6, and "rNc transfer" is performed in step S7.
Subsequently, a "standby" state is entered in step S8. On the terminal device side, rNc is stored in step S9.
is done and a notification to that effect is issued to the central device,
In step S10, the action of "telephone line OFF" is taken, and the operation ends. On the central device side, in step Sll, "completion confirmation" of the rNc storage operation on the terminal device side is taken, and in step S312, "The action for telephone line 0FFJ is taken and the operation ends. By the way, the above was a case where a change in the telephone number on the central equipment side is notified to the terminal equipment side, but conversely, when the telephone number on the terminal equipment side is changed, The method of the invention can be similarly applied to the case where the central device is notified of the problem, although the frequency of occurrence is less than the former case and the troublesome time is much less than one hour.

As explained above, in this invention, when a telephone number change occurs on either side of the central device and a plurality of terminal devices, the changed telephone number is stored in the telephone number storage section of either side. is entered manually, either party automatically instructs the other party to connect by making a telephone call, and after the connection is completed, the changed telephone number of either party is transferred to the other party. , the changed telephone number is written into the telephone number storage section of the other party. Therefore, the present invention has the following superior effects compared to the conventional technology. (1) Since the changed telephone number of one party is automatically and quickly notified to the other party, it is easy to take operational or administrative measures related to the change of telephone number (this makes it possible to streamline the communication system. (2) Since the central device and the plurality of terminal devices mutually notify each other of the changed telephone number, it is possible to provide flexibility in system operation and management.
